nothin sad about it, as others have said the RP communities are great compared to the usual realms.

Even if your not interested in RP the fact that the vast majority of a server are more mature makes for a much more pleasant atmosphere imo.

Being in SW without some tools spamming trade with anal puns is so refreshing :)

True dat. I myself have zero interest in RP but as far as servers go, I transferred all my serious characters to Argent Dawn. Still some clowns around but far far less idiots than on other servers.
 
Back online, guild roster is bugged for me.

Showing 9 people online, two of which are my alts, two are the GM's alts and the rest are another member's alts.

I think he means that if you want to go on there and not RP then that's fine, but going on there to troll the RP'ers isn't acceptable.

When I first started out on Argent Dawn we used to get people on Barrens Chat doing that, but the GMs soon came along waving hammers and order was restored.
 
For a rogue....whats better to have, two daggers or a dagger and a mace/axe/fist weapon?

I've traditionally gone for Mace in main hand and dagger in off hand, but i understand that they've changed how the weapons are used on a rogue...
 
How's everyone making their gold these days? I've found there's still a good market for older (eg, Mongoose) enchants and enchanting mats from the previous expansions. Bags are also still selling really well along with gems (obviously) and neck pieces. Cloth also sells quick on its own but I use every last piece to make and sell bags.

Herbs and ores are litered around Pandaria and a stack of Ghost Iron Ore can go for up to 40g at a time. And it takes less than 5min to farm on my RetPally. Same with herbs. My alchemist (elix master) sells flasks as and when I get Golden Lotusses.

Then obviously dailies pays well.

Any other tips or markets I've missed that still delivers the gold?
 
One last tip. JC's, keep a lookout on the AH for Serpent's Eyes. I picked 20 up yesterday for 3g each and knocked together 3 necklaces which sold for 250 a piece within the hour. Total input costs was 54g.
 
on my realm inscription has been doing a good trade for me.

The shoulder enchants, kites and darkmoon cards still sellin well.

Had been keeping a good stock of materials for next weekend but can see stuff starting to shift already.

JC im a little disappointed in this expansion gems seem a lot lower priced than in previous expansions and because there is so much ore around prospecting just isnt worth my time.

Id say Inscription and Alchemy have been my best earners so far, and suprising how much people will pay for older potions now that challenge modes and people running old raids for pets etc

Never considered older potions. Any in particular that's popular? Inscription along with BS is the only profs I don't have. Might have to look at getting Inscription as it's not the first time I've heard that it's a good little gold spinner.

Question for anyone that knows. I've got a lv70 Mage that's been gathering dust since TBC and I'm not planning on using for the moment. Could I max out Inscription without being max level char? Soz, no idea whether profs are directly connected to char level.
 
Well got exalted with all fractions over the weekend and got my kite mount. Well all except new fraction.

Question and i feel like a bit of a noob asking this question but bear with me.

I am a holy paladin who raids

I got bonus loot roll on boss in MV of the Off hand Item level 489 but paladins use shields ??????

Now i questioned Blizzard on this as i am still waiting for a unlucky drop on the MV legs and they come back with the usual babble on Bonus loot roll is a bonus etc but surely a Off hand isnt for a paladin but the only difference between the off hand and my shield apart form better stats is the off hand has no Armour obviously

So my question is should i use the new Off hand or keep my shield, i really see no benifit keeping a lower level shield over better stats on the Off hand but heart is saying i am a paladin and i dont use off hand i use shields :p

Its ok i am not really into farming old bosses only for the achievment might give a go 1 day when i am bored :)

Go for it. Back in Vanilla my paladin used cloth, chain, offhand, plate...whatever was going as the gear was better for Holy than the "specific" stuff. I was the first hardcore raiding Pala on the server (guild was 3rd in progess on the server at the time and this was in AQ) to start doing it and others started following suit....(I believe I was running around in the blue dress from the second boss in AQ on a male dwarf pala :p - Holy Identity Crisis Batman!)
