Downloaded and played this last night and had real fun.

I was wondering if all the wipes are done or if there will be a wipe after open beta before release?
 
Had a game last night that was boring for me but we won, I skirted the edge of the map and sailed straight into the cap point as all the enemy had sailed towards ours.

They just kept shooting at the rest of my team and didn't even try to come back and get the point back.

Spent 5 minutes at a stop just capping :(
 
New Mexico is best of the low tiers imo jp, an epic up close brawler, 1 shots the the south carolina/wyoming if you know where to aim, but am OMG where did my range go when you first get it, 19km in the NY down to 13km unmodified.

The colorado is imo crap, another stand off boat, it has no armour.

Yeah its not very clear on the web page just looks like a roundup of loads of different mods.
To be honest I think modding a beta is pointless as you want to try and play the game the way it was intended, give it a chance sort to speak and some of the mods for WOT border on cheating so I dont intend to use any mods on WOW if I keep playing.
I know its your choice whether to install them or not but it just seems a bit meh bad sporting.

Just had a mixed night. Good 1st game in my US Cruiser (Phoenix) lots of hits and a couple of kills.

Then 4 games in my isokaze. Lots of kills, some cracking games, 2 losses, 2 draws.

I had 3 kills and lots of damage in an encounter game. All my team had to do was cap, but no they all go chasing the CV that 28kn IJN one. It escaped, we drew.

They really need to sort out the draws, maybe players will learn that the old WoT cry of "no cap, kill all" is rubbish in WoWs. 900+ xp on a flipping loss.

To be honest the "no cap, kill all" cry in WoT costs the winning team the game in a lot of occasions on WoT as well and the players never learn, so I doubt they will in WoWS.
 
Which game version do people prefer ?
Co-op (team v bots) or Random (team v team) ?
I was playing Co-op a lot at the beginning until I released there was random battles too.
Not too sure which I prefer. I did one shot a destroyer last night. Hit it on the front gun but it went kind of weird instead of an explosion a big gap just appeared between the bow and remainder of the ship as though you had just knocked a chunk out of it then it blew up.
 
You see a lot of people that like to play on the edges of the map away from all the cap points and objectives and leave the rest of the team to go chasing something.

The no cap kill all thing also is a weird concept. But I haven't come from WoT!

I definitely prefer sealing the victory if possible :)

I only played Co-Op for the mandatory amount of games before PvP was unlocked. Never played Bots since. You get reduced XP for the game mode and I found it very boring.
