****** Official World of Warships Thread ******

I think the term OP is banded around too much in WoWs.

The Murmansk is a fully upgraded Omaha with 2 less guns and an extra 2.5 km range torps and slightly better AA. So its on par really.

If you compare Omaha/Murmansk vs Furutaka then yes both are OP lols

Starting to really get into this game, about to unlock T5 cruisers very soon.

What is/are the best buys in the shop with a £50 budget?

If it was me I would buy a Murmansk (if you like cruisers) and a few months premium account time. Get your feet under the table then see what lines and ships you prefer.

Buy dubloons when you understand whats worth spending them on etc.

Good advice.

That moment when you're part way through typing out some Prodigy lyrics... and the game awards you 'Arsonist' :D

Oh yea!

Intersting information here for anyone who's bothered.

Didn't hit a single thing all match, but chucked 34 torps out - it may have helped keep me just out of visibility range, while I capped :D Trololololol

Gives you an idea of the value of base capping in terms of rewards :)

So 400 odd games done in the open beta/release now...

Been taking it slowly in the open beta and trying to progress every line (apart from carriers) a bit, currently speeding through the Omaha because I just seem to be getting at least 4 kills per game with it, which is odd as I hated it in the CBT for some reason... should have the Cleveland again soon. Just starting out in the New York again on the US battleships, trying to enjoy each game :)

Got the Myoko, need to get the top hull then that will be ready to try out in ranked battles. Sadly need about 100k xp to unlock and fit out the Nagato which I really want to try out in ranked battles. Going to try and get through the Fuso this week but don't think I'll do it before ranked starts, I know most people love it but I've never been a fan really. Guess if I don't I'll try give Warspite a spin if I feel like ranked battleship play.

Looking forward to the German cruisers and hoping they don't slip from October.

How's everyone else's progress going?

As near as makes any difference at 600 games played now.

Zao unlocked and is quite frankly an awesome ship. But since unlocking it I have re bought the Aoba for use in ranked battles so been making sure I get some games in with a new captain to bump up the skills and re buy all the module/ship upgrades needed.

Ocasionally toying with the Minekaze and slowly levelling American DD's when I want a cruiser break. Break out the Kongo every now and again, but BB's play very slowly for me. Slow is boring.

But one shots are awesome :P

Zao was initially my goal and will probably be my first T10 still but decided to just take it slow this time after rushing lines in previous tests.

Trying to get my Baltimore, American cruisers is my most progress followed by Japanese DD's. I've not really got into battleships but have gone down the American route as I got to Nagato in CBT so fancied a change.
I'm not interested in carriers in fact if I had my way I'd remove them from the game. In hindsight I never played artillery in WoT either because it just not that fun (to me anyway).
Anyone got a De Moines yet? How do they play?

Last few days starting to get bored of playing, I've got the Cleveland and it's just so boring to play compared to the Omaha.

Now Exp even with premium seems to be a massive grind.

Omaha was great fun. The Cleveland in CBT was also great, but now I have it again I just don't click with it. I probably enjoy the Kuma far more.

Torpedoes always add a little spice and aa duty just doesn't give enough xp to be worthwhile.

So, for now I'm pushing up the IJN cruisers.
