Russian DD's are wierd. You start getting half-decent 5km torps at tier 4, but then tier 5 reverts to garbage 3km torps again! I think I'll just pop my Russki commander to reserve, and await other ships of theirs for now.

Yeah, I just can't justify £36 for effectively one ship! Hardly micro. I'm all for supporting devs, but for them to effectively rob their user base...

Russian DD's are wierd if you play them as a destroyer. Read somewhere to play them as mini-cruisers - since changing play-style, I'm having a ball! :)
 
Haven't played for weeks - not sure why really. Not really missing it t.b.h.

Mostly playing the Witcher3 a.t.m. A real relief not to be playing a MMO with the associated idiots that come with the territory.
 
I'm playing and half-working on getting the ARP Kongo, just for a giggle. :)

I've sunk the 30 cruisers needed, and now need to shoot down 140 more planes - Took the Cleveland out yesterday and downed 10 planes in a single match, but a lot of matches you get in don't have carriers...

So I've been dropping from them and grinding more XP for the Langley, which I got last night.... just need to get some more XP to work towards the Bogue, then going to concentrate on downing planes with it.

Encouraging toxic gameplay to win prizes seems to be a staple thing for Russian game developers :)
 
I'm working on the Kongo and Myoko challenges too, stage 2 for both.

Also if some of you don't know, there's a new event on which you have to register through the website and track through the website, "Project R".

Complete objectives like the ones ingame and earn pearls... get 150 pearls and get entered into a lotto to win one of 2000 Jap Kamikaze Destroyers.
 
Caved in a bought the Warspite as a new year treat - has quite devastating guns and seems to last quite well. Pleasant change from the New Mexico. Showed my support for the devs, but won't be doing it again due to the forced bundles.

Chipping away at the ARP Kongo quite nicely atm.

Yeah I`m still playing. Noticed the numbers on the EU server have dropped a bit.

Tried T6 and dont enjoy it at all. Finding T5 and lower a lot better and more my skill. Although I am loving the T6 carrier with 3 fighter squadrons.

Still playing.

Have rebought Kongo, Fuso, Nagato, Amagi so I can have multi tier fun. Now leveling USN DD's. At the Mahan at the moment.
 
Bah.... so every match with my Langley has been a loss so far. :(

Slowly getting the hang of torping, I'm managing to score hits... I just seem to be left with an idiot team who either allow me to get blown to bits, or get themselves blown up and I end up alive vs 2 or 3 of them all with tons of health.

Also, other carrier drivers throwing torps at DD's? Really?

Get your fighters levelled up and they can be quite untouchable on the Langley. It is also better than the Jap carrier Achoo so if you go up against it almost certain to batter it.
As for DD's once you have more experience you can catch them napping and anticipate their moves and Boom!


Just joined Project R and you get 100,000 credits just for signing up.

Best way I have found so far is to shadow torps with a fighter (remove spotter) then attack at an angle and as close as you dare, normally get 2-3 hits like this
 
or for a really fun one buzz ships with fighters loads of times and watch them squirm as they think they are about to get torp'd
 
been trying lots of different ways of playing as a cv, top tip, do not cv hunt, waste of time.

If you have a loadout of 2 fighters, 1 torp and 1 bomber, pair fighters with your others, if they get intercepted use fighters to give them breathing room, fire torps at angles, only ever try to nail a DD if you have to, waste of time generally, look for the lone battleship, they are big, big enough to take a hit of 5-6 torps at a go, and lastly..ALWAYS use manual aim using the ALT key
 
anyone who plays register for project r, loads of cash if enough register, got the kongo, cant sell it :(, oh well might play it
