If you're not adverse to spending a little then I think on the Easter weekend is Wargaming's anniversary sale so they'll likely have some discounts on premium time which would help you with your credit/xp income.

How is it now they removed stealth firing? Not played in two months, was just so burnt out after the Graf Spee event.
 
When you fire your detection range increases to be the same as your gun range I think, pretty sure the notes said something like that. You can still stealth fire if in smoke or behind islands though. It doesn't feel much different to me, but then again I'm playing at a lower tier where maybe it couldn't be done?

In other news, got the Konig at the weekend... Liking this one :)
 
Stealth firing was a bit of a broken mechanic to start with and its a good thing it is gone.

It hasn't altered my playstyle in DD's or Cruisers. But basically it is just a case of dealing with it and making it work for you.
 
Ive never seen so much Tking and friendly Torpedo hitting as i did tonight.... It was like people were trying to swim into them.....

10 games won 3 ? Didn't survive a single one... horrible night.
 
Saw a guy attempting team killing the other night but his hits weren't doing any damage - so it was just a nuisance rather than really problematic. I've seen more trolls in chat than TKing recently, had a brilliant one the other night. A guy raging at me for not staying in our own base defending in a Battleship the entire game - "Battleships should stay and defend always" - with a constant stream of insults. Was pretty amusing as I was having a corker of a game in the Konig, 2-3 kills whilst brawling on the front line.
Loving the Konig, even in tier 5-7 matches it doesn't feel too bad. It's still got the armour to keep alive a decent amount of time against stronger ships and does enough damage to still be dangerous. A far cry from what using the Omaha was like! In tier 4-5 matches it's great fun to just go straight at the enemy brawling and baiting cruisers and destroyers into turning broadside :D

Plus there are the complete idiots who just fire torpedoes ahead of friendlies like the dipstick I saw in an Emerald who fired torpedoes ahead of me and I had to ram on the anchors to not run into them (although there was a part of me that thought that I should just run into them to teach these idiots a lesson in situational awareness).

If that player had already turned pink from dealing out too much damage to friendlies then the anti team kill system kicks in and any damage they do to friendly ships is reflected back onto them.
 
Yeh I've seen that happen before, but don't think that was happening in that case - I don't remember the guy being pink or seeing him take damage!
 
I've unlocked the Bayern now. After slagging off the 15km range at stock, I then went on to get my first Kraken which included taking down a pair of Bismarks and an Atago .

I'm also enjoying the Bogue more after switching to 2 x DB and 1 x TB. It is a bit fragile as you have no fighters but you can ruin the enemy if left unchecked.
 
Currently got 430k free xp is it worth getting missouri or get a couple t10's instead?

Make that 507k after today

I guess that depends on how much you have in the bank ;)

Sat on 70 mill personally and don't feel the cost of the Missouri is worth it for me.

I really hate secondary build Germans.
I play a lot of dds and light cruisers.
It's absolutely soul destroying being constantly peppered at 8-9km.
It's really unskilled. I understand why it has to be n game but it's way too powerful right now. In my opinion.

It is fine that there is one line of BB's with half decent secondaries, and yes they can be a pain in the backside.

Buuuuuuuuuuuut jump in a Khaba and watch them all buuuuuuuuuuuuurn.
