No its more than that, the commentators dont know where or who riders are or anything until they can see their number. That shouldnt be happening and aswell as formal time checks they normally have a good estimation at any point in the race...

Its pretty damn disappointing if that is attributed to how they wanted it organised.

The 2 leaders are ahead of the group which is 56 seconds ahead.

2 guys broken away at the front, a few seconds ahead of the main breakaway group which is itself seemingly around 50-55 seconds ahead of the peloton.

The 56 sec gap is between the peloton and the lead group of 30~ the too off the front are like 10secs ahead of that.
