Olympic Track Cycling

Hmm, being devils advocate why wasnt what the women did in the Doubles Badminton? Other than being obvious arent both situations against the Olympic Spirit?

ps3ud0

The badminton was for people not performing to the best of their abilities.

The cyclist fell because he had a bad start, in order to try again and perform better.

So technically if he had carried on with the race after a bad start he would have broken the same rule as the badminton players :D

Yep, didn't know myself till just:

Keirin (ケイリン?) is a form of motor-paced cycle racing in which track cyclists sprint for victory following a speed-controlled start behind a pacer. The Keirin, which can use either motorized or non-motorized pacers, was developed in Japan around 1948 for gambling purposes. The sport became an official Olympic cycling event at the 2000 games in Sydney, Australia.
