But with the bikes you can do wheelies. What about all the tricks you do with it? I agree its pretty useless but it is used a bit.

I like the simple controls.
 
I wonder if Nintendo will hold back stock of this game, like they have done with every single big Wii game, Mario Galaxy/Mario Olympics etc.

Nintendo have always been conservative about the number of games they print since the NES. What makes you think this game will be any different to the previous hundreds of titles?

Has it ever been more than a suggestion that this happens? From what I understand, as Kreeee has said, Nintendo have been conservative with everything they've ever released. It's something they now need to address.

Looking forward to getting this, missus has pre-ordered it for me. However, it'll be 25th before I actually get it! :D
 
I usually agree with Edge review scores, but have to question their verdict on this game, they must be playing a different version to me cos its fantastic, and i've never been that much of a fan of previous Mario Karts. This one is very smooth, loads of courses, just supremely playable and fun.
 
It's because they've played the Ds version so they know that Nintendo know how to make a far better mario kart than the wii version but for some reason chose not to.
 
Just picked up my copy. How sad am I. I still get the buzz of getting a new game on release. :D

Just been to my local roll back supermarket after phoning to check stock. Had to wait while midnight, but £32.91 is not bad at all.

Regarding stock, they had only SIX copies delivered. The missus is playing as I type. Looks good so far.

Off to race...................
 
just got this from a local 24hr place and its superb. I had my reservations about the controls and just how well they would work but its awesome.

remember the days of when you were younger physically turning with the normal controller as your went around corners??!

well this is basically a game that makes you do just that lol, I love it.

fantastic fun with the misses on it thus far, would be a total whoot with the lads round!
 
Is there any way to dodge or "shake off" the red shells? How do you throw bananas forward?

My only real gripe with this game is that I can be miles in the lead, so there is a huge gap between me and the next character and I somehow end up getting hit by that thing that "stomps" the ground or inked by the squid.

Admittedly I haven't played it a great deal since it got delivered yesterday but what I have played I have liked a lot.
