got mine in a supermarket in the end for £27.

checked the local catalogue shop and they have laods of copies and wheels.

No surprise really. Most sold out of the first pre-order allocation, and, after requesting further stock, sold that as well. It has been unavailable on some sites for weeks. One popular place only had it up for pre-order for 48 hrs before it was removed due to all units being sold.

3 or 4 weeks time and it will be readily available again, just like SMG.

Supermarkets/non gaming shops are your best bet.

Slightly OT, but the situation is exactly the same with Wii Fit. The missus wants it for her birthday and I am suspecting another midnight trip to the supermarket may be the only way I will get one in time. I also suspect its going to be similar with GTA 5 for some formats.

Got one copy for £29.99 from a supermarket on the way to work, picking another reserved copy on the way home and then going to sell one of them without the wheel, and Im hoping to get the money back from the second copy if Im lucky. :)
 
managed to get mine from the well known rental shop, no idea if its a competitor or not.

To my amazement the had quite a few left, seems they wernt doing pre orders at all which is rather nice :)
 
I promised myself I would only buy GTA4 this months as I still have loads of games to finish on my 360 and I'm working my way through No More Heroes.

But... I have 3 mates coming over in a few weeks who all love MK and I love MK. As usual reading a thread on OcUK has cost me money :mad::p
 
Picked up a copy and a 2nd wheel for my 7 yr old son, for £42, from Woolies in Leeds town centre. I asked the girl if they'd sold many copies this morning, and she said I'd got the 2nd to last one, so am well chuffed! Wonder what time I'll be able to pry him off the Wii tonight! Kids eh :p
 
Got it from town in the end traded in a 2 games and got it for a refund of 1p. :p
The shortage is a complete myth it seems. Looks like I'm settling on my wave bird for controls so far. Good game.
 
Just had my first bash. Honestly doesn't feel any different to double dash, been a while since I played it though so I dunno.
 
well, as usual, i walked in with the money and walked straight out with a copy of mario kart and an extra wheel
