Yes. There's absolutely no point though and the wiimote + nunchuck is better.

As long as I'm not using the retarded Wii Wheel I'm happy. Plus I was thinking do I have enough controllers around for 4 player split screen.

K the last mario kart I played was years ago on the N64.. only ever played it with friends and thought it was pretty good.

How do you think the Wii version compares to the N64 one?

Quite similar to MK64 is terms of handling with slightly different boosting mechanics and more powerful items.

The daft thing is the wiimote isnt really needed at all, just press a button which i guess they went for to not make it totally redundant.

I like it though, its good fun.

got mine today, WOW its the ultimate Mario Kart, loads of races. loads of cup challenges!

Works well with the wheel as well. Great game!

What i liked, and i dont know if this was in the gamecube version, is the ability to send things backwards rather than just forwards, since the button was used for accelerate i thought id try it and it worked, knocking out my daughter who had just boosted coming up to the finish line with a green shell was totally peachy

You can send stuff backward in all versions.
