Opteron 165 overclocks

Ok. Try upping the vcore to 1.5 (max of the A8N-E)
Mine's at 1.5v now running 2761mhz stable in 8mb Super-Pi. It fails the 32mb test :( will drop untill it is stable there and I am very pleased.) However, the system has not yet failed in any application or under seriously heavy use. :)



Bare in mind some people in here only accept an 8 eight or longer prime95 pass as stable. I personally settle for a super-pi 32mb pass as stable.
I have never had a PC crash which passed 32mb super-pi.

I've got the same stepping! - It came in from the states on Friday (i.e. yesterday).

Total cost was £230 from the bay and I hope it clocks well. But i'm only using air cooling.

Well lets see how it compares to my 170 shall we... ;)

just got this thurs, from states to, also a ccb1e 0609fpaw that did'nt scale so well. the ccb1e runs a lot hotter than ccbbe, so it should be perfect for air cooling.
can boot at 3.1,with 1.6v but core0 fails in minutes.

Been doing some research on the CCBBE 0610DPMW and it's ment to be one of the best steppings ever. Nice overclock m8 ;) Im really, really thinking about getting one of these beauties and selling my 170.

You'd better hurry up in getting your DPMW stepping mate.

They are getting more and more expensive every day!

I got mine on friday, as in its here and waiting to go into my rig. But it was only a few quid cheaper then getting one in the UK...

been looking at a thread over on extreme forums,having the '904' means it should perform very well
here
had a look at mine and 904 is there.
