Oscar Pistorius thread

Im not getting too hung up about his choice of ammo.

What is troubling me is, Oscar claims they were in bed asleep for several hours before the shooting and never mentioned, when questioned in detail (pre trial), about eating food in bed (filthy habit btw). Now this is the kicker for me, the coroner claims Eva had only finished eating around 2 hours before she was shot to death.

So how can this be? did she get up and have a feast while Oscar was sleeping and then get back into bed? if so why didnt this wake him from his sleep?

He didn't mention it because their late night meal is probably related to the argument that happened and which ended up in him executing her.

Fair enough, that is your opinion. The fact remains, many people who only live with their partner lock the door when they go to the bathroom. Quite a number of people in the thread have already said they do this and I know my Mum does this (only lives with my Dad). Do I lock the door? No, I don't even have a lock on my bathroom door but I can accept that other people have completely different habits to me.

Not directed at the person I have just quoted - This thread is full of people basing their opinions on feelings they have rather than about the facts presented. Whatever happened I do think he should get jail time. Even if it wasn't premeditated he was at the very least negligent. I'm not convinced he is innocent of murder, but I'm not convinced he is guilty either. He certainly doesn't seem like a nice guy at all, but that hasn't really got anything to do with it.
 
I must say if he isn't innocent his acting is great, the man deserves a standing ovation.

Also they say they can tell if he was wearing his legs from the height of the bullet holes in the door? makes sense as I think without them he's down a couple of feet.

I should probably shut up now in case he decides to kick my ass, oh.
 
I am hoping someone who has been following this trial could answer a few questions I have.
- I recall mention of previous police call outs to his house. Have any details been given?
- I read a US firm were to attempt to access the locked phone. Was this successful?
- I have seen talk on Reeva having an affair. Has this been proven?
- What is the likely sentence if found guilty?

Thanks in advance! This is a terrible case. I am inclined to say he is guilty but how can anyone be sure? A terrible burden for the judge...
 
I do onder if theyd had an argument and shed locked her self in the bath room an he fired into scare her not thinking hed hit her and now genuinly regrets that but doesnt want to go to jaill

Why not?

Although its unlikely because the floor plan of the bath room would make it hard too miss anyone using the toilet or the sink, its still a possibility and not too much of a stretch to believe somebody angry enough would think this way.

I don't think he premeditated it, my guess is they had an argument, possibly something to with his jealousy (wasn't she out late on valentines day without him?). He being a gun nut got angry decided to shoot at her.

Whatever the reason, he used deadly force which would mean second degree murder in the UK and life imprisonment.
