Overclockers UK Grand Opening!! Saturday 10th November

Just curious really, I am ordering some stuff on Monday, i5 3570k, 7850 etc for a new build. In a few posts above you say the 3570k have all gone, does this mean 'internet ordered' stock as well. Sorry if it seems a silly question, but don't want to go ordering something you don't have.

I assume he means that the stock allocated at the special price has gone.

The processor itself is still shown as 10+ stock on the shop site.

To be fair you could have got anything you wanted up to 7.30. Dgm monitors screen sd out first. 797 , by 8am

I got the last 7970 at 07:40ish, all the DGM's had gone then, My ticket was Number 20 so I assume 20 7970's were allocated by 07:40.

Have to agree with the sane people, the tickets made the whole thing a lot more civilized than it would have been otherwise, imagine 200 nerds (I mean that nicely) fighting (I'm mean that laughably) to get through the doors.

Some mega keen people were arriving from 8pm yesterday, these people were the first in the queue because to put it as simple as possible they arrived first. They choose to get here so early and wait overnight to ensure they were first in the queue.
But it seems once they were given there "speshial" reservation they left the queue and went to sleep in their cars.

so they were no longer queueing and it wasnt first come first serve.

no one should have been "served" until the doors were open but people were clearly allowed to reserve an item and leave until 9am

Hi there

It was quite simple store opens 9am with crazy deals.

Some mega keen people were arriving from 8pm yesterday, these people were the first in the queue because to put it as simple as possible they arrived first. They choose to get here so early and wait overnight to ensure they were first in the queue.

By midnight last night we had 6 customers waiting for the place to open. By 5am it was approx 10 customers and this kept increasing. People who arrives later were obviously behind them in the queue.

Its not like something out of a movie where people are left to fight outside and then all rush in at 9am.

It could not be any fairer, those who arrives first, were well first in the queue.

Fact is some of the crazy deals are still available, I still think we have a couple of the £99 PC's left and a handful of the Intel SSD's and we had plenty of great online deals for customers this weekend too which can also be purchased in store. :)

We've done our best and everything was done very fairly.

Well done to you and the rest of the team for making it happen today. :)
