Pentagon releases UFO footage

Where was this?
We were parked up down a old farm track a mile outside of a small village called hanninton getting up to what young couples do, I got out the car to get some air as it was a warm evening and happend to look up and there it was.

Said to the wife well GF at the time and she got out and saw it and started freaking out and just wanted to leave, I got her phone to take a pic but in all the commotion I pressed the wrong button. I jumped in the car and we sped off.

Are you saying that you were being spied on by pervert aliens?

Now that is a good use of interstellar technology.

No different to how we study other species i guess if indeed it was an alien craft. In all my life though I've never seen anything like it.

Hmm it's not near to any RAF bases, the nearest is about 15 miles away. So you may be onto something. Of course you'll never find out, but what's clear from the info in this thread is that there is the possibility of something out there.

Oh I see this thread has now gone straight back to full on aliens speculation. Well if we are doing that them my thought has always been that if these are from elsewhere they would be computer controlled probes, they aren't going to have people flying about in them.

I've long thought that. It's most likely (if it's from another world) to be computer controlled rather than little green (or grey) beings.

Could be thousands/millions of years old roaming the universe. Makes sense to send drones out to collect data.

Who the hell knows though! The universe is mind bogglingly large, but then again so could their technology.

Let's say in the future that aliens do make themselves known. What would be some good first questions to ask?

Even the best phone cameras cant take decent photos of aircraft. Hell, try taking a photo of a bird sat in a tree and you'll soon lose quality the second you start zooming in.

There is no proof that there is life anywhere in the Universe apart from this planet so it's a stupid question.

No proof but it's probably swarming, we're just separated by the vast distances and time, a few billion years for a race to evolve and go extinct is a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things.

The Lex interview was cool, loads of technical info not covered by any other interview.

Unless I missed it, despite the fact he was looking at it with this bare eyes, and had maneuvered his jet to intercept between 2-3 o'clock he never once mentioned what it looked like. They seem to concentrate on the radar images.

I think he did say something about two things hanging off the back, but never said what the object looked like.

It's pretty well documented in other interviews and the reports he made it looked like a a white Tic-Tac.

Fermi Paradox - there 'might' have been intelligent life but at a completely different time to us and at a vast distance away from us.
I still want to believe though.

Relatively small ones that directly affected me? Yeah, I'd probably cave and try to "fix" some of those..

But, for example...would I try to stop Hitler? I would definitely want to, but I'm afraid that another country/group, lacking the Holocaust as a reference, might end up committing worse (against whoever). Who knows...maybe if I somehow managed to prevent WW2 from happening, maybe nuclear weapons would've came at a pretty similar pace anyway, and, lacking the destructive references of WW2, maybe the US and Russia would've "went for it" i.e. try to quickly take each other out with nukes..

I wouldn't blame aliens for choosing to not intervene at all.

Interesting, there are a few movies that cover that, how a small change in your past could have taken your life in a very different path and how it would have affected others. "Sliding doors" is one, not a great movie otherwise, apart from admiring Jeanne Tripplehorn
