Desks are indeed for doing stuff, and then when stuff is done, you tidy up after yourself not shift stuff to one side and begin the next thing to do
Like right now I am reviewing a monitor so have 2 34" ultrawides on the desk, it ruins my feng shui lol but it's gonna get cleared up as soon as I'm done!

I love that people who are sensitive to their environment think that's the way everyone needs to be.
I used to be a guitar technician and my boss's workbench was basically a pile of parts and tools, with a perfectly guitar shaped hole in it exposing the soft carpeted surface.
