A few from a Nature Reserve I'm a member of and a place right on my doorstep which I never knew about until recently, I'd heard that Kingfishers had been there in the past and I was lucky enough to find one.
Still waiting to get some good shots of them though

Went there today myself;

This was my first proper outing with my first ever DSLR (Nikon D5500 & Tamron 75-300mm lens). So any comments/suggestions on how to improve my pics would be greatly appreciated. Think they were all taken on shutter priority, at 1/2000 and iso 400.

Thanks, I've never had them here before either. There was sudden explosion of noise and they were everywhere.
Just happened to be putting a new battery in the camera!
