Piers Morgan on TalkTV gets one million subscribers.

As I'm not taking him to court, I don't really need proof.

Journalists underneath him said it was common knowledge and it was "inconceivable" that Piers Morgan, who was very hands on and walked around all the various news desks, wouldn't have known it was happening

That's like saying my Chief Executive should know what all of us Trust Staff are getting up to, it doesn't sit right with me.
He's always denied it and he's never been found guilty of it.
He may be a bum but you shouldn't accuse people of something without evidence and not just on hearsay.

That's irrelevant, once someone in the media has shown right wing sympathies they are guilty of all and everything in some people's eyes ;)

Vincent has him banged to rights whatever :)

I've always thought of him as a fence sitter but gets 'involved' when things are ridiculous
eg young lads identifying themselves as female and using female toilets in a school.
MtF swimmer beating everybody with ease.
He has no problems with Trans, one of his best friends is Caitlyn Jenner.

I never really had any strong thoughts that he was particularly politically leaning either way, like most media people he probably swings to suit the moment. I just find him humorous and not afraid of calling out utter nonsenses like people believing they can determine their own sex and expecting others to participate in their charade.

Expecting integrity and honesty from most newspaper editors these days is as naive as looking for such traits in estate agents, social workers and marriage guidance counsellors :)

Discussions on controversial topics aside, I'm not sure that Caitlyn Jenner is the best role model for demonstrating how impartial Piers is :D

Awww i have upset another delicate little flower,

He is a weasel of a man and should be in Prison and not TV. His opinion is nothing and it means nothing.

have you got any proof of this because he was never found guilty of any phone hacking?
He was Editor for the Daily Mirror.
Yes they were part of News International but he had nothing to do with the other papers that were done including The News Of The World.

Who tapped Milly Dowler's phone?

In 2014 Wallis was charged with conspiring to intercept communications, relating to his time as Deputy Editor of the News of the World, after he had left The Sunday People in 2003. In 2015 he appeared at the Old Bailey, where he was cleared after a four-day deliberation by the jury.26 Jan 2020
Interestingly I know many people who 'phone hacked' around that time. It was well known that networks set default passcodes on voicemail and nobody bothered to change them, so you could do all kind of fun things to your friends like change their voicemail greeting etc. You could call a number that let you connect to your voicemail account from other phones instead of dialling 901 or whatever from the actual handset.

The Leveson Inquiry showed that he was played voicemails of Heather Mills, which said she didn't play to him, so he more than likely knew phone/voicemail hacking was happening within News Corp and the Mail Group.

Still doesn't excuse what News Corp (and others) did.
And, whilst it's grey in terms of law, anyone found to have done it could potentially be done under either the Computer Misuse Act, Wireless Act or RIPA.

So reading that story he was played a voicemail by somebody and he won't give up the source, it doesn't mean it was a hacked phone even though very the journalist adds that there was proof her phone was hacked in 2010 making the reader put two and two together.
Very clever these journalists.

And the people who did do wrong got caught and convicted while The News of the World closed down.

Why?
I'm not a fan of his, I just want to know why and don't say Millie Dowler because he wasn't involved.

He was editor of the Daily Mirror and pursued a campaign against British troops all based on fake photos of our troops supposedly absusing Iraqi prisoners. He was sacked because of it. That story went on for a while and did incredible international damage to our countries reputation.

You would think a person that was so focused on their career would at least check his evidence for such an enormous accusation. To top it all off his career accelerates and he gets to host on CNN following Larry King.

and amazingly some of those soldiers ended up being discharged and court martialled for the act (not the ones in the photos).
The story was leaked from what he thought was a reputable source and he thought those photos belonged to the guilty parties.

One such story

Funny how The Guardian wasn't accused -

Mills denies playing the voicemail to Piers, so they ended up in his hands somehow and the likelihood was someone hacking her voicemails.
Either way, i'm not suggesting he did the hacking himself but rather he had knowledge of it happening which seems likely given the above.

No, because those photos were staged. Piers allowing those faked photos to be published on the front page of a national newspaper just highlights the little due diligence or fact checking that occured with the source and material.

...and yet, nothing to do with the Daily Mail running with faked photos on the front page, especially after-the-fact.

Yes and that's what he got sacked for, he thought they were genuine but didn't 100% verify the source - what a pillock.

And regarding Mrs Mills he acknowledged he heard the voicemail - that is it, you don't need to add anything to it.

Technically he was relieved because he wouldn't apologise for publishing the photos as he was, and still is given more recent interviews, adamant they were legitimate photos even though evidence proved otherwise and the military releasing statements of the same effect.

And regarding Mrs Mills he acknowledged he heard the voicemail - that is it, you don't need to add anything to it.
And that would be a bit disingenuous as you would be ignoring what others have gone on record to say, especially Mills.

Oh, the 'I work with....therefore my posts are credible' line; if that were true, i would be an expert on money making and yachts but that sure as poop isn't the case
