PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

What is with this "Network Lag Detected"? Just had a game down to the final 21 last about forty minutes because of it.
Every few seconds the game would stall with that message, then occasionally about ten to fifteen seconds of no stop then pauses every second or two again.
Call me suspicious though one guy did seem to be getting a lot of VSS kills in the feed during it. Got to the top three and was killed by the VSS guy.

It happens when there's packet loss between your client and server. It was implemented to stop lag switchers.

Seems to pick the best moment to screw you though :(.

Finally picked this up and came 2nd in my 2nd ever game, the adrenaline rush is unreal. Think I'm hooked.
Yea, I can't say it enough - it really does get the heart pumping!! And it's so damn addictive, to the point I've a wife ready to put a hammer through my pc!

"bought" a beta and it's crap it says map will be reduced in 5 mins but nothing happens to you? What does that even mean ? Red splodges on map not explained. No idea where to find vechiles, when to jump from plane etc. Its very hit and miss. Mostly spend 20 mins running on foot to find a car, race around and get sniped. Yawn could do that in Battlefield.

Map reducing is the blue zone closing into the white zone. Anyone outside the white zone when it's closed in takes damage. Basicallly you have 5 minutes before the blue circle starts moving in to finish looting and get into the white.

Red splodges are bombing zones. You can run around but you may get killed. Just to slow people down/force them out of cover. Rare to get killed by one.

Vehicles are random but tend to spawn in high traffic areas like big towns in garages or nearby roads.

When to jump is up to you. Either go for a house far away from plane route loot and work your way back in or jump into a city on route and get straight into a fight.

Cars aren't essential if anything they're a hindrance most of the time unless trying to get far away quickly. They're loud enough to let everyone know where you are and since everyone seems to have motion vision the slower you are the easier to not get shot.

Best bet is to drop near a group of houses off the plane path and get loot before heading back into the **** show until you're better at taking people out quickly.

Probably should have some kind of tutorial I imagine it'll come eventually.

Lol. I take it you didn't bother reading up on the game before buying it? Mynight explains it all in his reply - but I think you may be looking for a more hand hold experience and there's nothing wrong with that but this game does not hold your hand.

I get the feeling you went into the game with the impression you'll hate it already in your mind. I don't really see how anyone could fail to understand the circle mechanics unless purposely being obtuse? One look at the map and it's incredibly apparent how it works. Same with the bombing zone.

Strange post.

Really want to get this but can't justify spending over £20 for it at the moment...

64 hours in for me now, works out at 42p per hour of fun and that number is only going to go down.
Plus you get a free adrenaline rush every time you're in the last top 10, unlike any other game.

Was there any sort of background update in last couple of days? I have had a few issues with game not loading back into the lobby a few times after round end but no crashes. But last night I had two consecutive crashes in middle of a game where it crashed to desktop then came up with option to send crash report (which i did). I have changed nothing on my PC, no settings changes or anything..
