Hate how unstable this tends to be with steam overlay. Had to window and screenshot that way.
 
My steam overlay wouldn't work with afterburner running in game (Battleye also got upset with it so i disabled it for the game).

I posted a video I made last night of a rampage me and Heymikey went on in Discord - cant post it here due to many swearies tho :(

i tend to always have afterburner running. It's just sometimes overlay works and sometimes it doesn't.

There was some dude crouched down hiding behind a chest of drawers and I hesitated as I thought he might be AFK and I wasn't sure if I was to kill him.... He got up and started to try and punch me so I shot him in the face.
Then I went outside, killed some guy running across towards me and then put two bullets into another bloke in the distance.... I went over to try and find him and he was hiding in a corner and killed me.

This game is great! I now understand it after doing some reading and playing some. I love the suspense and pace of it and hope I can get some hours to sink in to it over the next while.

I joined the Discord thing also as it would be much better playing with a team.

I was loving the dream last night.. first crate of the game landed near me... guillie, m249 and ammo and T3 vest. Then shortly after found a supressor for my AK.

The final zone was at the crashed plane north of georgopol and i was sat in the grass and one after another people ran past me to then get dinked by my AK. Made it to 4th as didnt move in time for the blue zone so had to run with 4 people left and got sniped by a guy with a Kar in the crashed plane. Bit gutted. But was a lot of fun

Thats ok, I was pretty tired last night and definitely not playing at my best. Getting 1 shotted by a shotty after putting 5-10 rounds from an AK into the other player was the last straw for me.

I think I need to do some slower paced solo runs for a bit to get back into the swing of things rather than dropping into the hot zones.
 
I had an awful time in Duo / Squad yesterday, dropping into hot zones and the opposition would lag / jump and kill me before I could kill them, then if we played safe and went somewhere quiet the loot was pitiful.

Sticking to solo today I think, I have a much higher success rate (> 1.00 K/D in solo, 0.3 in squad :eek:)

I played last night a few games at 18:00 on EU servers and the lag was insane the entire time.
I was walking up towards buildings and then lagging to the opposite side of them.... Don't get me started on trying to open and go through doors, it was horrible.

I managed to get #18 though with 2 good kills :) Game is super fun, just a few annoyances, but guess it is pre-release but don't think that's a decent reason for mega lag on servers?

i think the main issue with lag on the servers is still simply down to the unexpected explosion of the game and not having the best sever foundations implemented to handle such an occurrence.

If you are finding that the lag is getting too bad on the Eu servers, try the NA servers, i find that their performance is as good if not better than the EU servers most of the time, not had too many lag issues to be honest, but when I have i've switched to the NA servers and they have been better.

Had a few games last night, managed a 2nd in duo's and then played some squads and think we spent most of our time looking for guns as the loot was so bad, half the time :(

Will be on tonight from about 6:30 ish so if you fancy a game just hop in the discord and i'll happily play some duo's or squads if we get more people. :)
 
I will give the NA servers a go just to see how that pans out, cheers.
I read somewhere they are AWS hosted and depending on load and demand they could spin servers up in regions very swiftly. So not sure if it is pure load based issues but like mentioned, the game has exploded but it's not exactly a recent thing, it's been popular for a good chunk of time now so you'd think they would be on top of the demand on the servers.

Spud, thanks :) I might be on about 18:30ish depending on weather after work. Hope to get on for a few games by 19:00 certainly so will jump in Discord and hopefully have you carry me on my first duo attempt :p
 
Only got this game a week ago and its very addictive , the learning curve is very easy if you play other FPS games, Played a few games on Friday with a few lads from OC on Discord and we Won a group match :) great feeling winning that game , Most of the games I have played this week have a similar outcome , die in under 1 min after being shotgunned down or spending 30mins getting loads of cool gear and loot be be sniped from an unknown location lol. The thing is you don't tend to get mad you just try again.

This game is only going to get better with more maps and updates on the way.
