PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Anyone having difficulty getting into a server this morning? I need to quickly to screenshot some artefacts I'm getting, but cannot get past the 'Matching' stage...
OK just seems like it is tricky getting into servers today, as it takes a while.

Anyway, is anyone else getting artefacts like those displayed in the below link and crashes? My newly installed RX 480 is giving me all kinds of issues...

Am running a i7 3770k @4.2 with a 290 @1050/1250 @1440p Texture, Foliage, View Distance all on Ultra rest of the settings on Low and I avg around 50fps playable for now but we should start getting performance updates soon.
Cheers (friendliest Liverpool fan I have come across!) i think I'll hold off for a while until the performance gets better

I have I7 4790, 980ti, 16gb ram and the games installed on ssd. On Ultra the fps in the pre game area is 43-50, in plane its 30-39 on the ground its 43-49 and inside its35-41. I've dropped it to high with draw on ultra and I get about an extra 10 fps. Before I turned on the fps counter the game seemed to drop fps on ultra but on high it seemed smooth, until I turned on the fps I could not tell if I was getting fps drops.
Thank you

I agree, I'm surprised so many are baulking at a £27 price point, especially considering some of the dross that we buy for £40 and stuff that isnt even 1/10th as much unadulterated fun as this game is. Its not the most stunning graphics in a game, its not the most stunning sound fx or music in a game, its not the most stunning control system in a game but its got bucketloads of what many other games simply forget to include, FUN.

Including my beta weekend time, I am now at 85 hours played. I would pay £27 for 85 hours of a game every day, at the drop of a hat, and thats without all the hours that I have yet to play.

Fun is subjective though, loads of people probably like The Sims but it's not for me, in the same way I've spent so many hours in the Championship/Football Manager games (which I don't remember cost as much as this game) having a great time but many people wouldn't enjoy that. So one person saying something is fun doesn't mean that it is going to be fun for everyone.

The reason I think £27 seems so much (as did ~£35 for Overwatch and ~£34 for For Honor) is that I often buy games, put them on my backlog and then in 18 months when I get around to playing them I find the GOTY edition is on sale for less than half what I paid for the full game. So what I've taken to doing is buying games when the GOTY edition is on sale.

I've spent around £5-10 in microtransactions in Dota 2 and played that for hundreds of hours, same for Heroes of the Storm.

I'm now thinking I might buy it, try it and if I don't like it refund it (as I doubt it'll take me 2 hours to figure that out). You can refund Early Access games can't you?

Very true.

Yes I believe you can refund early access ones too
