I run all on high, no ultra settings (not since the first few days anyway), foliage on low4pro...it's smooth, I don't get lag spikes, it just works out of the box. Haven't had to tweak it much tbh, perhaps i'm just one of the lucky ones.

My problem is, I'm old skool in the sense of turning all graphics down to low to get FPS/advantages.

I want the game to look good as well as making visibility decent, but always feel I'm at a disadvantage. :/

The only concession i'm willing to make is the low foliage settings and that's because everyone else is doing it. I don't really struggle to spot people...until the final circle when they're 10 feet in front of me :D
 
i whacked all to low even when recording whole round didnt dip under 60 which it was capped at.

ran into plenty of bugs though so refunded again

jumping is too floaty not direct.animations still clunky.before people moan about jumping it is vital in these types of games.
got two guns started running reloaded both guns vanished.was left with just a ammo clip in my hand. no guns.couldnt drop items.players running through walls.sounds off on players approaching.

so not time to play yet. needs more patching.

Starting to seem like you just enjoy moaning for the sake of it now.
 
The point with this game its pre release but also they are updating at a rapid rate. Cant criticise that much but perhaps the price should be lower for an unfinished game but demand is too great so they wont

Let's see the vid of all these so called issues then.

EDIT: I just find it hard to believe in 2 hours of gaming you've had all the issues you describe. I'm 40 hours in and with the exception of jump being a bit twitchy, i've had nothing else happen that you've mentioned.

weird same old dayz trolls see above cant take criticism about a buggy game. yes its alpha.we understand.i just said its too buggy at moment which it is for me.

lol i landed in it happened within 2 minutes of playing.my friend drove by with a car with no wheels on.a buggy went by desyncing no wheels on on fire.my guns vanished.

i want to play it.

i will leave it for another month try again.for those saying it isnt buggy are your eyes closed ?
 
To be fair jumping is rather ugly. Not noticed the other things yet though.

Desync is rather sporadic seems to be luck of the draw server wise. NA seems to have better servers.

I'm not going to say that there arent issues, but I tend to agree with the poster above, I have played over 60 hours and I have not once had any of the following that you encountered happen ;

Reloaded and guns vanished
Couldnt drop items
Players running through walls
Sounds off on approaching players
Cars having no wheels

I can see why he is saying that its a remarkable amount of issues to encounter in a short space of time. I mean who knows, maybe I just have an amazing install of the game and incredible luck to have played for all those hours and not encountered those bugs.

I'd say that the best thing to do, to ensure that people dont just think you have an agenda to bash the game is to indeed record footage of those issues happening to you, covers your own back and ensures that people dont just think you are making it up. Theres literally dozens of other people in this thread who have played hundreds, if not thousands of hours of the game combined, maybe some of them can also back you up by saying that they have had those same issues too. All helps to prove to any doubters that its not just made up.

I've had a few bugs occur, but none of those you had and very few in 60 hours, certainly not the amount you encountered in a couple of hours. Luck of the draw I guess. The sceptic cynic in me though isnt surprised that someone who has been so negative about the game for 50 pages of a thread came out of playing it with a negative experience.

Out of curiosity though, why dont you just keep the game. You say you intend to play it down the road, I cant understand the logic behind you buying it, trying it, refunding it, then buying it again, trying it again , refunding it again , only to say then you are going to buy it a 3rd time in another month and then possibly refund again and then buy again a 4th time after that. Just seems like a lot of hassle to me, I'd just buy it the once and play from time to time while I wait for it to get to the point that I want. In my logic, 27 quid now or 27 quid later, I'm still paying 27 quid either way.

I can back up the guns vanishing bug, as well as the being unable to drop items, but it has only happened to me a few times in well over 100 games.
When it did happen though the server then proceeded to crash out and gave me an error, or i've had to switch the game off in task manager.
Finally i have also had some sound bugs here and there, but hopefully todays patch will help some.

Still thoroughly enjoying it despite any early doors flaws, but i have noticed i'm doing worse these days as other get better :(
 
no thats the thing if you enjoying your game then play it enjoy it.im happy to try it now and then as its patched more.i think the guns vanishing it linked to the servers desyncing.i shot a guy in the head who had desync i reloaded the gun and then both my guns vanished . about 5 mins later the server shut down.its not so bad the guns vanished its that you cant clear your inventory so the spaces are blocked and you cant drop the invisible guns either.

also in another game i was tracking a guy i new he was close i could hear his footsteps but he wasnt even in the building the noise was coming from.i did read they were patching sound soon so thats great news.

also some good tips here for settings if not already posted.

At least someone else has encountered them too then, DG must have just had bad luck to get them happen in the few games he played. Unfortunate.
 
New thunder sounds have made me nearly **** myself twice already. They have changed it in the update haven't they? Never got it me before how it gets me now.


Had one of my most embarrassing deaths earlier, running across a wide open field. The guy sitting in a bush must have been shocked too when he turned around to have me running in to him on the spot before he killed me with his silenced M4. Never saw him, had a split second of confusion, a glimpse of a silencer before he shot me.
