But question is will it cripple FPS on lower end rigs ? Looking forward to the new patch just hope it doesn't break other things.

They are great for camping at

... sit there and wait for your kills to turn up.. always manage to kill a couple of people when they are attempting to loot crates

They are great for camping at ... sit there and wait for your kills to turn up.. always manage to kill a couple of people when they are attempting to loot crates

In my testing from very low to ultra only 8 fps difference.

Looking at the screenshot the distant foliage/trees seem to render at high and are missing at low.

What I can't figure out is how some people have like a 60%+ win percentage. How can you possibly win more than you lose in a massive brawl.

I imagine a few of those have some "aids" to help their gameplay.

Some people are just plain lethal though :eek:

One of my friends has remained top 10 since the game came out and plays daily. I know the group he plays with (a couple of them are also in the top 10 and they were very good at ARMA which is essentially the same principle in BG. IIRC they used to do competitive matches too. Srs bsns.

On the squad leader board there are 3 guys with roughly same games played and similar win %... I recon they just make an outstanding team.

I have seen a couple people with those aids you speak of... however thankfully extremely rare! Awesome game.

Anyone one test server able to confirm this ?? just wondering if that will give an advantage.. will players be visible at longer range when they used to be hidden by foliage (if the foliage is no longer rendered in low?)

Indeed I have only come across a couple(only one definite) in my hundred hours.

The squads board I'm more inclined to believe they're legit. Teamwork makes a huge difference in squads. One team I play with can happily hit top tens each time but just changing one player makes top ten sporadic.Still fun regardless.

The solo boards I'm not as optimistic about.

I found an M249 in one once. Rest of the time it's just an AWM and 8x scope... usually awesome meds.
I'm terrible at sniping with bolt action weapons.

So all those patch notes look great, have wanted a few of the things they have implemented. More importantly though, when will I get my skinhead back instead of this stupid ginger comb-over!!!
