I'm pretty sure there's the option to random group up but then you run the risk of teaming up with some clampet who doesn't communicate or even speak English!
Jump on discord mate you'll have no problem finding someone from here to casually play with.
 
So after reading about the performance improvements I decided to pull the trigger for good and re-purchased it. However my pc still doesn't seem to want to play ball so I've dropped pretty much everything to low and now get a better experience. Unless I merely look at a city and then it's good by fps! Haha! Which is probably a good thing because I just get smashed anyway due to no skills, terrible lag and everyone being better. Still, despite never having killed anyone as of yet I'm enjoying it. (And planning a pc upgrade... :) )

Had a good buildup earlier too. Landed at a port with just one other guy and while he went off to the containers I stayed at the outskirts and picked off the smaller buildings/towers. Managed to get a KAR98 with a 4x scope and an M16x something? Had 30 rounds with a red dot. Anyway, once I got those I travelled round the outside of the port to get to the otherside with my head on a swivel trying to avoid the other guy from the beginning tearing me a new one. Anyway, got to the other side without coming across him and started to make my way to the circle. This took me up a hill to the observatory which gave me a bit more loot. The circle carried on to the other side of observatory so I carefully fell down the cliff(literally did fall down parts) until I was in circle and had an amazing high up vantage point over everything below! Thought hello, my luck is in! Then a wild red zone appears and I'm smack bang in the middle of it... :| "Great." I think! So I take a few pot shots at a buggy in the distance and wait for my doom. Somehow I have a couple of explosions near me but take hardly any damage!? Then there is silence and the barrage stops! Woohoo! I settle back down into prone and start to look for guys arriving below. Then the game crashes out completely back to windows... :| :| :|

Gutted. But I still really enjoyed it and am looking forward to getting stuck back in later. :)

You can queue in duos / squads as 1 and you get randoms. There is in game voip but you will get the best results with being on discord / teamspeak with people.
 
Seems unplayable now; peformance does seem improved but I lost the ability to open doors, or pick up items off the floor. Entered several buildings; then couldn't pick up more found loot. Couldn't leave the house as all doors shut. Reloading of the gun also failed in a constant loop.
 
Game seems perfectly playable to me. :D :D :D

So annoying, he has a silenced AR - heart pumping for those last 2mins during the final stalk. I saw him but he got the drop on me!

Patch seems good. Managed to drop someone with the crossbow, headshot from about 30m, man that felt good!
 
Seems the loot is a lot ******** now...

Used to be able to get kitted up in the first 5/10mins and ready to fight.

Now we're spending most of the game looking for loot/scopes.
 
Just had my first proper bug, someone down kwango right next to us so I went to aim down the sights to kill him, the scope rendered twice as if I was crosseyed so I couldnt see the guy I was shooting at, he just turned round and killed me.

Really wound me up, had been fine for the rest of the game and the moment I needed it ruined my game.

Thats a good thing aint it, before everyone could find the good stuff, now you have to be even more careful before going into battle.
 
Nah, RNG wasn't that random before. If you hit a group of 5 buildings you'd 9/10 times get an AR or two with scope. After patch you're lucky to get one in a city let alone a small town :D.
 
Yeah weapon drops seem a lot less now, also tonight the game hit 8.5gb ram used while in game and im still getting the odd stuttering, also had a guy prone i couldn't see, ran right past him, he got up and finished me off with a shotgun

"My bad for wording my earlier post poorly." would have more correct. :p

You can be auto matched with another player for Duo's, or three others for Squad's. Only had one Auto squad match-up where we managed to even land relatively close to each other. It was going really well until it all four of us in a Jeep came head on with another full squad in a car, all leant out of windows ready to engage and I got my first crash. Pretty sure my laptop cannot handle that and never bothered with Squads since.

I get the lag at the start of rounds, sometimes it takes a while for textures on buildings to show, not even doors which can be a pain.

Happy my old i7 4700MQ and GTX780M can allow me to play it. Yet still no chicken for moi. :/ Had two 3rd places last night.
 
Had some sick games today. The patch has improved my performance a huge amount. Gone from 0.87 squad k:d to 1.07!. Just had an 8 kill chicken dinner as well (including a 3 man grenade kill, but i didn't record it :()

All the stutters I was having has gone and have gone back to DX11, similiar overall fps but its so much smoother now:)

After today's update I find the game to be significantly worse. Lot of server problems such as losing connection or just stuttering in general. Finding items is much more difficult and the items have a very terrible hue. Performance has actually decreased for me as well somehow.

Finding assault rifles and tier 3 items will be more harder as drop rate has changed.

Have you put in any custom launch parameters before at all? If so, they should be removed as are confirmed to have negative effect since the patch.

Performance has increase for me, no more 30fps in parts of Georgepol and Yasnaya when moving quickly.

Interacting with doors and picking up loot is substantially quicker, no complaints at all.

Did have a server crash once out of about total 20 games this evening but that's it, and that's only the second server crash I've experienced in over 100 hours of gametime.
 
Patch all good for me.

Thanks to the lads from the discord for the games last night (Stihl, BG1980 )- a good winner winner chicken dinner in the 4 man squad. Still amazes me how nervous and twitchy you get despite it being 2 v 1 in our situation!!
