PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Enjoying the remake of Vikendi although as mentioned it could do with a few more vehicles/bikes.

Not overly fussed about Deston being dropped again, although it looks purdy I think the map is too big or something... can't put my finger on it.

Novelty of Vikendi being back has worn off due to the 500 come back arenas which mean there are 70+ players left when the circle is fairly small after several rounds. Just too many people in that size is crap.

Yea the map is just ****, it's awful, and we have been forcing ourselves to play it to try and get used to it.
 
I'm taking a break for a bit. Just played a game where a player was running one way on Miramar and for no reason suddenly and sharply changed direction and ran over a mound to shoot me across in the open several hundred metres away.

There have been quite a few instances like that in solos lately.
 
Having issues updating the game, It says Resume update, i click that and it changes to pause update then doesn't update and returns to Resume update.... I have verified all files but still no luck! Any guesses as to why this may be happening?

EDIT: Noob error, Didnt have enough free disk space for update, had a clear out and uninstalled a couple of things, All good now :)

I'm still playing a lot and really enjoying it.

That being said the newer maps have so much going on, especially Vikendi. There are big loot drops, security rooms and bear caves where high level gear can be attained, plus opportunities for come back after being killed. The core PUBG experience is still there, but it is heavily masked.

I'm enjoying the game.

Except Vikendi, that map is ridiculous.

Bears? Thermal scopes that see through smoke? I mean wtf PUBG?

I was playing with my team and we got right to the end, pinned down a bit but we had thermal scopes, literally smoked a lot in front of us, got, walking and shooting through our own smoke and chicken dinner. ridiculous.

Does a bear **** in the wood? No it ***** on PUBG.

Other than that it's good and we mostly skip Vikendi.

It's completely different to Warzone, positioning and gun control are more important in PUBG. Sadly though the developers seem to copy a lot of what Warzone does now with comeback arena and unwanted gimmicks.

Yeah shame really, all these "features" they have added in over the last year to keep the low attention span kiddies from getting borred.

You tried the Famas yet? My god that thing is a beast, although picked up a few kills with it, to be honest I am not sure the trade off of insane recoil is worth it over a more regular AR, even with a comp. Maybe I am just a noob.
 
Loosing interest a bit. Lost interest a bit this time last year as well, partly the weather getting better prefer to be outside. Ended up taking a break completely for about 4-5 months.

But the current map rotation with Paramo, Sanhok and no Mirimar isn't great.

Teago I can sort of take or leave ish, which leaves Deston and Erangal.

Not played it since Thursday last week, not going to play it today, only played it three days last week and not at all week before that, normally be on it a good few hours a day 5 days a week.
 
Not played for a couple of months. Thought I would see if they sorted out the EU server issues so tried a bit of TDM but alas if I am on A-Z-fra servers my ping is like 3x normal and lag and hitreg is just a mess. I literally spot an enemy and before I can even ADS my screen slows and I am insta killed. Just no fun at all. A-A-fra servers much better but only 1 in 4 games end up on one. Before anyone says its my ISP (Zen) its a massive issue discussed on discord forums that PUBG can’t or won’t fix. I was almost gonna try the 3 day free exitlag trial but even the sign up for that is broken. So thats probably it for me. Maybe if they release a PUBG 2 at some point I may come back and have a butchers.
