PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

Be sure to grab Yakuza 0 as well, that actually beats practically everything in the last couple of years in terms of fun factor and is pretty unique. 100+ hours of content if you get sucked into side stuff and runs at 60fps:D Also, the substories will have you in stitches:p

If you haven't played Nier: Automata on PC, get that on the Pro as well (a lot more hassle-free experience than on PC and also 60fps).

I've decided I'll get NieR on PS4 - hopefully when there's an offer on. I've still got U4, Infamous Second Son and a few other games to work through so no rush.

I can't wait to go the other way! (Console to PC) I've built up a stack of Steam games that I've never really been able to play on my laptop and OcUK keep sending me emails with PC systems on so at Christmas I will treat myself to a new rig and catch up with all my stuff.

Think I'm going to pop in GAME this weekend and trade my PS4 in against a Pro... I've just picked up GTA V , U4, Witcher 3, Overwatch and I'm thinking about Horizon Zero Dawn too. The Pro should give me a boost and it's cheaper than my thoughts of upgrading to a 1080ti or similar.

Wildlands hurt my eyes to start with in all honesty but I'm now used to it and it doesn't bother me.

Gaming on the sofa in front of a big TV instead of being sat up in the bedroom is much nicer. You need to watch your posture, though and avoid slouching!

I'm going to rebuild my PC into a smaller case at some point and move it to the living room seeing as I have a Roccat Sova. I suspect I'll only seriously get back into PC gaming once Star Citizen and/or one of the City of Heroes successors release.

I think for any sort of shooters like wild lands, battlefield etc. etc. I would still play them on PC tbh, certainly if the console version is only running at 30 fps and has a really cramped/squashed FOV anyway.

Yeah that is another thing I miss with console gaming, slouching on the sofa in front of a big screen! I already slouch on my computer chair so :p

That was originally my plan to do a complete rebuild of a smaller PC, hate having a big tower/case take up so much room but I won't be doing both, at least not at the same time.

So you're getting one in the end:p

Horizon, U4 and TLoU are a must. Also, Gravity Rush 2.

Just one tip: don't read anything about the game etc. and try to do as many sidequests as you can:p

If there are some great bundle deals, yup :p Really hope there be one with 3 PS exclusive titles..... Unless microsoft have got some epic exclusives, which I highly doubt, there just is no point considering a scorpio even if it has better graphics/performance imo.

haha yeah I was wanting to play nier but as per usual, broken on the PC although I think it got fixed recently....

Yeah, no rush at all. Just grab it at some point, even when it's discounted, it's really worth it and unlike anything out there.

Second Son is a nice game, very enjoyable.

There might be some nice bundles after E3.
With the amount of great exclusives PS4 has at the moment, not even including upcoming high-profile stuff like GoW/TLoU2/Detroit, I can't see how MS could possibly compete at this point. I have 0 interest in the Scorpio. PC/PS4 is all I need.

Nier is now better on PC but it's still safer to get it on the Pro. Either way, it's a must-play.

E3 is in less than two weeks, you'd be better off waiting unless there's a particularly compelling deal available already.

Just having a look on the settings for my pro, im ashamed to say i didnt realisee boost mode is off by default. I would have thought the default setting would have been on. I really want to get HZD but ive not even started uncharted yet, and for some reason HZD seems to be £45 even tho its been out a while.

Wouldn't it be great if the Scorpio would play any of your old or upcoming PC games. I just don't game on my PC anymore though but I do plenty on my Xbox one and ps4 pro. I will be getting Scorpio though.

Surely the money would be better spent on a new GPU for a good spec PC than on Scorpio? I don't understand my mates who have a PC and an XB1. It makes more sense to diversify platforms IMO.

Exactly. Most important XB games are already on PC. Surely it's a lot more sensible to own a platform with games you can't play on PC and a solid PC for the rest?

IMO not really :p

I miss the old days of console purchases, I got a xbox 360 elite with 4 games (2 of them were of my choice) for <£300 not long after release.

Been a PC gamer for 25 years, because PC is the best platform for high quality experience.

However, I just bought PS4 Pro, because I wanted to play the exclusives funded by Sony and Sega that it has.

Connected it to my 55" panny plasma to which my PC is also connected.

So far I bought these games:

Horizon ZD, Uncharted 1/2/3/4, Yakuza 0, Until Dawn, Order 1886, Killzone SF, Driveclub, Infamous SS, Infamous LL

Want to leave the best for last, so Horizon and Yakuza will be played last.

Started with Order 1886. It is fun. It is linear, dumb, filled with QTEs, BUT the gunplay is pretty fun, and graphically it is fantastic, really closest to CGI in realtime to date. Everything feels solid. I love the victorian setting as well and writing is decent so far. I do hate the 30fps, which simply makes everything looks worse and less responsive, but guess that can't be helped. But a pretty good game so far, 7/10.

Tried Driveclub. Amazing weather effects. Otherwise the graphics is not quite as good as I expected, and the physics model seems terrible compared to Forza Horizon 3. Plus 30fps, so no real sense of speed. I kinda regret buying it (even on sale for 20 bucks). I will just keep playing FH3 which plays much better and runs 60fps.

Tried Uncharted 4. This one is going to be awesome. Gorgeous graphics, fun writing and gameplay. Again hampered by framerate, but whatchagonna do.

Tried Infamous SS. Great graphics, seems to be running at pretty good framerate (at least at the start) in boost mode, around 50-60. Hopefully will keep at that level and be good fun, the intro seemed good.

Haven't tested the rest yet.

Anyway, I am pretty happy with PS4 Pro so far. It helps though that I got it bundled with 2TB Sony external drive, which I wanted to get anyway, so that took a large chunk of the price down.

It's off by default because that guarantees compatibility with all existing PS4 titles.

Damn, you've got some very good games to play through:p

Have fun:) U4 is beast, it's obviously not a deep story but it's like playing an adventure movie with great locations and very decent characters.

Infamous is very cool too.

Can't get into Driveclub either. H3 is vastly better. Haven't tried The Order but considering picking it up.

I suggest trying Gravity Rush 2 if you don't mind cartoony graphics. The gameplay and setting is uber-cool.
