Playstation Plus

I guess they need us to pay for their network upgrade. I wonder if at Gamescom they will announce some new benefit. A price increase isn't going to make the service more appealing as they said they wanted it to be last month.

I still have a good amount of time left on my PS plus, but i may buy a 1 year code from Shopto for under 30 quid and stack it on before the price hike, according to the email, that should be possible.

£10 extra for a year isn't all that much is it? Isn't that just like 83p extra a month?

I can't see most people paying the full price anyway when it's time.

Plus compared to the cost of WoW for a year, this is cheap :p

Been waiting for it since they increased the price in the US, if they continue with the current trend of giving us decent games I wont mind so much but if it slips back into indy junk I'll not be renewing. Mind you, it's not £50 is it, it'll be £42 ish unless you really want to pay sony direct.

I actually don't mind paying the little bit extra as long as they push out better monthly games and stuff. August PS+ lineup is probably the best month its been in a while (Just Cause 3 & Assassins Creed: Freedom Cry).

the quality of the free games has been improving recently. Last month and this month have been good. Yes, it's gone up 25% but it's still only going to be a smidge over £4 a month which isn't too bad really for what it offers.

Luckily just renewed mine a few weeks back, if they continue like they are with some decent games this last month and the next I personally don't mind the increase, anyway thats the sony price, we all know we can get it cheaper at places like cdkeys.

*Septembers ps plus game line up will have all eyes on it, that's for sure.

Yeh, that's me out.

Will be sticking to the PC from now on.

£50 a year to go online, no thanks.

It might be worth to buy it only during special deals (black Friday, cyber Monday or like recently 15 months for £30), otherwise I agree... £50... I'd rather buy for that games I actually want to play.

Saw the email this morning and instantly picked up a code online for £32. Gives me 18 months of PS plus for now.

Agreed that a 25% increase is too much for what we get.

Since having a little one, and another on the way my PS time has decreased dramatically.

I too purchased the Amazon years for £30 so I have it until Dec 2018, but I won't like, I never play the games that come with PS+ as I have just about enough time to have an hour here or there, so I turn to a familiar game.

When I've got the likes of Doom for £6, I'd not sign up for another year at £50, online gameplay doesn't come into use much either.
