***** PlayStation Vita Official Thread *****

Just popped into Morrisons and picked up my pre-order. Used the £25 against Uncharted and paid an extra tenner. Didn't fancy opening the bundled Fifa so just traded it for Virtua Tennis and paid £8 difference at HMV.

Lumines arrived in the post as well (from coolshop) :)

Only thing outstanding now is my 32GB memory card!!!

I just transferred some video from my PC.

1GB spread over three files took 2 minutes via a USB3 port (the Vita is USB2). Same files to my USB3 stick took 21 seconds.

Southpark at RF10 and RF20 look identical to me. Both look fantastic on the screen, RF20 meant the episodes were only 99mb. RF10 meant they were 300mb.

Interestingly the encode of Thrones I did at RF20 has a green bar along the bottom but it doesn't appear like that on my PC. Going to try the (much) larger RF10 file.
 
Ok guys, what do I need to convert Videos/movies to play on this? Sorry if it has been covered.

Also what is the Tennis game like? Really tempted to get this.

HMV or Toys R Us over the counter with a decent bundle. Mine from TRU was matched to HMV's with no hassle.

Or ASDA for £197 console only and pick up your other bits wherever?

My Morrison's (where I picked up my mates preorder) had NO other VITA's or games, accessories...anything..in stock other than preorders. That's the Derby one btw.

Handbrake is your friend.

You need the video format as MP4, codec as H264, select large file, set the resolution to 960x544 and the quality to RF 20 (this should already be set). Then add the item to the queue and tell it to go.

How do you set resolution to that, spent 10minutes looking for it :/
 
Yay gamestation store messed up! I preordered a 16gb card and they only got given 3.. Should have called me like they did to offer me more stuff!

So i left with an 8gb card and feel a bit had tbh!

But overall i got
Wifi 8gb
Uncharted
Starter pack (cases etc)
And they ran out of the £10 psn vouchers so gave me a £15 instead so i guess thats a plus.

£319.99 altogeather but also traded in psp for £50 and £12 off for the deposit

So paid £258 so not too bad i guess as i also have £15 to spend on psn (which i was going to spend regardless) so really £243

But annoyed about the card size
 
Changed my mind and picked up my Vita from Morrisons. Will go to the superstore tomorrow and see what they stock so I can use my £25 vouchers.

On the "picture" tab, select Anamorphic "None" then set your width to 960 and tick "keep aspect ratio". That should then set the height as 544 assuming your video is 16:9 in the first place.
 
Just got my £10 pre-order credit from game off of fifa. Nice.

Also, Neo Geo games work it seems, or at least the psp designed ones - playing metal slug now :D
