Please spec me a 5080

Its all down to case now. And stock :)

Which case would you get instead for future upgrades space and fans etc.

OCUK person said that with the cooler It looks like it can fit in that case we just need to reconfigure it slightly so the motherboard sits a bit lower than normal so was just wondering what case to get for easier fitting.

The Lian Li 216 is in stock (black, no ARGB, or white). It can also be adjusted for water cooling.

I would ask them to build it without a windows licence. You can get a key code for £9.99 for W11 Pro. Saves you nearly £100.

I dont mind paying that bit extra for a key so they can install and put all drives on etc. I can do it as i do it for this pc every now and then but on a new 3k pc i want it done right and everything testing etc.

I would have bought it today but ocuk not got back to me. I know they are busey so will wait and see tomorrow. But defo buying it. Thanks all.

Edit: They just got back to me all i need to do is send them email saying yes which im doing now. :)

yes but the one in the system is made buy a super cheap parts maker Kolink.
for me spending £3.5k on a system and getting Kolink its not ok.

the fans case and AIO are mabe by Kolink, and there is a good chance the PSU is too but i cant been 100% on that

it really is a good build, its just stuck in a bice of crap case. spec just sats 1000w gold rated psu, there is a good chance this is the PSU.
i would not trust £3.5k that this piece of crap
I bought an ocuk system and i am 99% sure it has this PSU. Have you got any evidence that its bad?

I have a 3 year warranty so i’m not too worried for now but this is the 5th negative comment i’ve seen about Kolink. Surely ocuk wouldn’t put crap quality in their builds??

Good review here - seems like your talking crap

Kolink is a budget brand pumped out of China.

OcUK are a business in the business of making money. its like dell and so on they use cheap OEM psu's
i would trust a Kolink PSU for that length of time no problems, but a 10 year run? no

how ever its your money, if you want a budget brand PSU backing up £3k's worth of PC thats your choice

how funny would it be if you £100 PSU killed at 5090...

EDIT:
at the end of the day if you building a PC thet really needs a 1000w PSU then you have the money to buy a trusted brand.
the number of people with a 1000w psu and a 5700x3d/3070 is just stupid.
if you dropping £500 in a CPU and a £1500 into a GPU, your not the type of person to say i need to save £50 on a PSU

Aren't most components made in China? Kolink is Hungarian.
So Kolink isn't crap then because you would trust it for a certain amount of time.

I have a 4070ti super/ 7800x3d, it wasn't a pre build it was one of those on ocuk's page where you can customize it.

yes but there is sweatshop, and trusted facilities
Both real and fake Air pods are made in China.. but one as a much better build quality

no i would think they will be ok for a few years is what i said.
it as a 3 year warranty for a reason, and other have 10 years.
if Kolink was making a good unit why not stick 10 years on it

I have a 4070ti super/ 7800x3d,
so a good quality 850w would have been better than a budget 1000w in your case

Sorry i mean the 3 year warranty is with ocuk, although having googled, it seems my psu model does havea 3 year warranty so i'll take your point there.

The PSU wasn't customisable, i was out of the loop and just wanted a gaming pc and trusted OCUK, I didn't know what brand PSU at the time but as i've looked into things i've realsied it was a Kolink. After paying over 2k i was surprised it wasn't a more well known name but so far so good.

This is what i bought ( last month)

there is every chance you may get 10 years out of it, your set up will only be pulling about 450w in games so your good.
all i was saying is if i was building a custom PC Kolink is not the place i would go.

for the cost of a 1000w Kolink, you can get a RM850x with 10 years warranty and it would be fit for 90% of pc's.

I asked ocuk on web note if i should change psu or ram to a better make. He said the makes are fine just got more chance of failing but i wont notice any difference in performance. Ive kept the PSU and ram and not changed it. In my opinion You could get a better make and it could still have problems. I think it just comes down to luck. :)

Not bought yet just waiting for ocuk to send me payment link and its been weekend so it probably Monday. but defo buying it. Oh sorry thought you was saying about psu i got. But im guessing its same with rest.

But cant wait to start playing games again.

So one of the reasons that people gravitate to say like brands like Seasonic, Corsair etc is the warranty length. I think kolink is like 2-3 years if I remember correctly and that is perfectly serviceable. But Seasonic just for example have is it a 10 year it 12 year warranty I can't remember. That that might not be important but usually power supplies is at the very bottom of the constant upgrade path. I tend to run my power supplies a very long time especially if they are a reputable brand and what I feel is a good power supply.

Now I can't personally comment on Kolink power supplies as I have never ever owned one. And to be fair Seasonics and corsairs etc do fail just like Kolink but then again they sell more.

The power supplies I tend to buy are typically Seasonic made psu's rebadged for different vendors. And to be honest the only Corsair Psu's I bought were the ones that were made by Seasonic. Ax850, Ax860 etc. And in the event they do fail Seasonics customer service is legendary. With that being said Seaonics are extremely expensive comparatively to other vendors.

What about Asus and other vendors that make other Psu's? I wouldn't know as I have only ever used Seasonic or seasonic made rebadged for other vendors. Although out of curiosity I did get one of those Asus thor psu's which I do believe is made by seasonic. In this day and age where it doesn't;t pay to be brand or retailer loyal anymore that is the one constant I still follow.

Anyways god luck with your new build/pre built.
