I'll take the credit (same as my OcUK username), but why don't you go via topcashback and get the money yourself?
PapaLazaru your router plumbed in yet?
If it's a dual WAN model then it'll work; the most likely options are 2820 or 2830.
If it's a 2820 you may find that it limits the connection speed.
I have got mine today but won't get chance to replace BT home hub before Saturday though.PapaLazaru your router plumbed in yet?
My TP-Link came today and to be frank, the WiFi doesn't seem that different to the TG582N
Hi again, the router work have offered is a Vigor 2800 VG. This is the following spec. It has a WAN port, but no mention of pppoe.

Any idea if this will connect to the BT Openreach box.
I have a question about Plusnet static IP.
If I enable the static IP do I have to make any changes to the router, or do they just fix the IP their end?
I ask because I had a static IP with O2 (BE24) and it involved router setup changes.

Not good news I was looking forward to setting it up on the weekend
The most you'll need to do is refresh the connection. There'll be no reconfiguration required at your end.
I think I maybe jumped to conclusions, even tho my tablet is only showing 1 or 2 bars of signal its still good for 50/18 (5ghz), this is through an outer brick wall.
Moved 2.4ghz to channel 1 and that's stronger too now.
The setup disc is crap, just plug your PC into it and go to http://192.168.0.1 and theres a physical slider switch on the back next to power button to turn wifi on.
