Plusnet Discussion Thread

Well that was relatively painless. I just set up the wifi with the existing Plusnet SSID & password and everything has connected with no problems. Just need to see if I get any more drops. Whats the crack with Russia PPPoE?

Speeds are the same though my ping has dropped which is good and it does seen nippier (though that is probably just me).

Good news, looking to get the same router for my taltalk fiber connection, I've read online that the latest firmwire is really good and recommend to upgrade too. Also if you have an android phone install this app, Wifi analyzer, just gives you a ran down of all the current channels in use so you can pick the best one, I'm sure there are Wifi versions of it but im lazy.

The 5ghz on mine has stopped working properly :(

Got my mac from BT so ready to move to plusnet.

Got it just at the right time as TCB are offering £101 cashback on the unlimited fibre packages.

Anyone used TCB with Plusnet? any problems?

I still don't know why Openreach won't allow control of interleaving on fibre. Indeed, they allow EUs to use their own routers now, so allowing ISP control of interleaving, target SNRM, etc. would be welcomed.

Pretty sure it's just a matter of time. We can arrange DLM resets under certain circumstances but it's a bit of a pain to request.

KIA's right though, interleaving definitely won't be responsible for halving the speed of your connection.

Best regards,

Not possible to have it removed. Interleaving won't be responsible for halving your speed.

Well something has happened I'm sure. Anyway I've sent a ticket in, lets see what happens.

Just migrated from BT Infinity to Plusnet Unlimited Fibre, happy with that almost feels no change at all.

Did you contact them? I had problems with my order with it "not going through" but after asking them they had to ensure it went through manually.

Worth opening a ticket.

You shouldn't have to wait a month at all so I presume this is the case; they need to manually put it through because the system for whatever reason doesn't do it.
