If truth be told, without the "Walk-on Girls" (I wonder if that is the result of a spelling error? Never mind) nobody would bother to watch fat blokes throwing darts at a board.
Similarly, if it wasn't for the "Grid Girls", Hamilton, Alonso, Vettel, Verstappen and Co. would be tearing round supermarket car parks at night.
The Walk-on and Grid girls are absolutely essential to persuade Pimply Faced Youths to drag themselves away from MMORPGs to drool over some alternative fantasy where they finally get the girl.
Look its fine if you don't like to look at attractive, young, women because of your personal sexual orientation or preferences but the research has been done and it is clear... The majority of hetrosexual men like to look at attractive youthful women. This has zero to do with some societally constructed patriarchy and is easily explained by biology.
Advertisers and promoters are aware of this and so use attractive, youthful women to advertise and promote products and events that have a significant market with hetrosexual men...
(Hence why we have pictures of women on
monitors advertised by ocuk its not that gibbo has just returned from this weeks patriarchy meeting and decided that his contribution, this week, to oppressing women would be ensuring some of them have some employment via modelling.)
having, on occasion, attended a darts match i can attest that the
audience was far from dominated by 'pimply faced youths' same goes for f1 so i don't quite know what point you think you are making.
it seems like you are trying to make a crass point by incorrectly stereotyping the audience of certain events using one of the last societally acceptable stereotypes.... that of a young acne ridden, basement computer room dwelling, horny male who can't generally get women's attention.
as i say if you don't like attractive women then that's fine. however given the relatively
conservative outfits the women typically wear to promote the darts i don't think that your personal feelings have any weight.
as the petition somewhat gives an indication of this change by the pdc has not been bought in based on feedback from the audience it has come from the
broadcasters and advertisers... who themselves would not otherwise care except they have seen what the
violent Marxist leaning left are willing to do when it comes to perceived 'social justice' issues....
