Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Ah at 86k the r8 makes sense. I assumed you had spent around 100k. Drop me a line before you sell it I'm still keen on having one at some point.

No problem. No plans to sell anytime soon. One of those "what could I get for the same money better" decisions. Well obviously my Polo GTi is better, but that's special.

If you look at the general trend over the past year, I think they peaked at £110/115K and they have slowly dropped to around £90K at present. Also when you look at the current market there are 68 GT4's for sale, so there is a lot of choice. I also have a friend who has his GT4 listed at £95K and hasn't been able to sell it yet, so they are not flying out the door. So I think they will start to flattern out in price and drop a little more but the interesting point would be when they released the "718" GT4.

I think it will depend on whether its a turbo charged engine or an N/A like the current one.

I believe AP from Porsche's GT department has gone on the record to say all GT cars will be NA for the forthcoming models apart from the GT2 and GT2 RS.

There is no way that they will sling a flat six in a 718 GTS, it's just a trim level. It'll be the GT3, GT4 and Spyder that remain NA.

Cross-post from Show Us Your Motors, but I've got my hands on a 2011 Cayman S today as an upgrade from my 2008 Z4 :D.

Pretty well spec'd with PDK, PASM, Sports Chrono Plus, PSE, Xenons, Adaptive Sports Seats:

Levels of want are high with that one! Lovely car fella! Even the interior looks ace, as it looks a lot lighter.

Thanks, really happy with the way it all turned out, though I can't get anywhere close to your MPG's...

Had the whole front end, side intake scoops, rear wing, and behind the rear wheels coated in paint protection film today.

Tomorrow I get the Passport laser jammer/radar detector installed and then that's it for this car.

That's what I really regret with mine now, as I've a few stone chips on mine now and the quote I have from Porsche is more or less the same as the PPF. So I'll have that done when it's next in for a service and have the PPF applies then. It also looks so much better without a front number plate. I do have a sticky plate ready to go on mine once the bumper is done.

Normally my MPG isn't that high as I drive the car in manual mode most of the time which after some spirted driving comes out at around 10/20 MPG. On a long run the car seem to average 30/35MPG with everything left in auto and ACC on.

Looks awesome Dave.

Also what I thought was a GTS the other day in bright yellow coming towards me was a GT4, a guy who lives just up the road from me has got one identical to yours. I have to say its present on the road is amazing, it really stands out in a good way and looks a very exotic car, more like a small Ferrari than Porsche which I bet many people will mistake it for who are not into their cars.

How is the other car purchase idea going? :D
