Post Your Garden!

And grass!..

Plenty more to do
That grass is impressive. What type is it?

I suppose so :D. At first we were fascinated with them and how close they get to the house but now we just think "another one of those ******* is eating the leaves off the pear tree!".
Ours stopped after we put deer fencing around the garden, not for the deer actually but to keep the dog from escaping. Doesn't stop the bloody foxes though.

It was something we considered, the green or black plastic stuff that looks almost invisible from a short distance away. It was to be the 2m high stuff so that some could be buried to stop them getting under and high enough so they couldn't jump it. However we'd need over 400m of it to cover the perimeter so put it off for the moment. It's one of those projects that'll get done sometime.

Ours was for the dog, so we just got the 4ft galvanized stuff, down to the ground, not buried (he's not a digger) but it seems to have had the double effect of stopping the deer, at least we haven't seen any since we had it done.

Finally finished off the garden for the summer, only for the sun to disappear and wind to arrive

Sorted the BBQ area out, repainted the fence and the Wife sorted the decor. It’s secondary seating area but we don’t cover it up so easier to have lunch out there etc.

We bought the (fake) rattan set last summer and barely used it due to the weather, we sit there as a family for tea etc.

Made a couple of sleeper benches too so there is some seating on the grass.

Also sorted the drive, fence and weed control (purple slate decor), it took ages!

It’s a garden that caters for a 12 and 9-year-old who play football, hence the 9-aside goal, and then a 6 and 2-year-old who also want entertainment. We get a lot of use from the garden when the weather allows, so the maintenance is always worth it.

To add, the grass is the only disappointment; it is uneven and full of clover and weeds every year.

money well spent i say, strange looking house are the rooms big ?

Yeah, it is, it was for sale a good ten years back and the estate agent's first line of the ad was something along the lines of looks can be deceiving :p - It looks worst last year as we had the velux windows replaced that were a horrible gold colour. It looks like a bungalow from the front!

The rooms are big enough, the master bedroom is very big, the rest are just doubles, kids have desks in their rooms and plenty of space, 6 bedrooms in total. My office is in the loft, which you enter from our bedroom! Pics are bit older now but here when I first kitted it out: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/pic-your-desk-right-now.17699399/post-35766746

All that work put in and you go and insult his house

Haha, not insulted, I agree its strange but ticks all the boxes so don't think we will ever sell!

looks a beauty bud

Guys, as per my pics above, any suggestions on how I could hide (decor/plants etc) the green metal shed? It looks horrible but I can't justify replacing it, it holds loads of outdoor toys!

EDIT: After going for a walk with the wife I have told her I am going to bin it, job done :)
