Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

I'd worry about the stability, as I checked the IKEA site and for the 180cm version they recommend you install 2x supporting legs, if using the 4x feet.

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/50293604/

Stability should be alright as you have 8 feet all 1/4 spaced apart.

I don't know how much clearance you need for your plugs but the easiest way is to pop down to your local timber merchant and get 8 No 2cm x 2cm x x height cm wooden squares cut (or however wide you wanted the feet) and then just spray paint them white glossy or matt. Probably cost you a tenner at the most.

I want 5 LS50's for my AV set up... luckily I can't decide on an AVR so I haven't splashed out the required cash. :o

As you'd expect from the cabinet size they roll off pretty quickly under 100hz but that's what the sub would be for.

You will want a warm amp to go with them, they can be a bit harsh with a bright amp. The combo of warm amp and bright speakers is a good one to my ears... they work beautifully with my valve amp.

I think Yamaha AVR would be absolutely perfect for these.

Otherwise Denon/Marantz... only I think the Yamaha is better for music.

Or Arcam FMJ perhaps? They are considered warm from what I've read.

Added a Q Acoustic 2000ci

Had to kick out the Xbox 360 and move the PS4 & PS3 to to floor so i might need to invest in a new unit. Love the sound of it though and have now ordered a pair of 2020i to replace the old kenwood fronts.

Hi, What's the dimensions of the speaker? Trying to figure out if I could fit one in my TV stand. Sick of the sound bar blocking the TV remote :(

Screw that, i wanna see that fireplace! :D Looks huge!

Only photo to hand.

And to keep on topic you can see one of my rears in the top left of the screen the other is just out of view in the bottom right on my desk. Will re purpose the old fronts to go behind the sofa for 7.1 as i have cables there ready.

I just ordered a pair of Dali Zensor 5s for 200 quid :)

Brand new, from a reputable seller in Switz... one of their special christmas offers.

I have a spare valve amp I need to repair and a new room in the new apartment that has no audio... for that price, it was hard to say though - even if they aren't the most accomplished speakers... for 200 quid, their quality is a bargain!
