New to Home Cine/Hi-Fi, purchased my first lot of gear yesterday to replace my Yamaha HS7s and Saffire Pro 40 I had hooked up to my TV.
I went with a Yamaha RX-V438 and a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 5 Speakers. Here's a before and after.

I am using 5 out of my 7 Kef eggs and a 200DF BK sub for a 5.1 setup.
Wife has just about got over the outlay but OMG I am really happy with the kit.

The little round black pads that came with the speakers. The spike on the speaker feet fits into the top flush, and they give a flat bottom so your hard floor is not damaged.

Got a Rega turntable and some Wharfdale Diamonds. Using my old Cyrus 8vs that I replaced downstairs.
Just plugged in to test it all. Got some new speaker cable to use and will get a little hifi stand and some speaker stands.

Mounted the speakers on the wall....
Got a little TV stand for the amp / turntable (realised I could fit the PS4 on here too (hasn't been turned on in over a year!))
Moved the TV over and fitted the Nvidia Shield too. Can't say I'm too impressed with it so far as it does nothing the TV can't already do. I'll probably move it to the bedroom where the 50" plasma is a bit more "primitive".
Sorry for the bad pictures. My phone appears to be rubbish indoors at night!!
Oh. Please don't pay any attention to the filthy bin. I think this thing has resided in every room in the house. God knows why it's ended up in my office!

Just as a note, it's not advisable to store vinyls on top of each other like that, as it can cause damage to the ones that the bottom
