Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

just dont get caught ;)

and on another note - my new speakers have warn in just about as much as they will i think (lol had them on 10 hours a day!!!!) have been playing around with positioning - and WOW got it just rite - time for some Aural pleasure :D

Awesome! Glad to see another happy B&W customer :)

I think mine are getting there, I've had them for just over 2 weeks, and they've been on pretty much all day every day. I left them on while I was at college etc.

Shame I'm using a surround reciever rather than a nice integrated amp. Roll on christmas and my C352! :D

edit... I see you have the 352. What do you think to it? Is it worth £300+?

worth every penny - i have it bridged with the c272, but that is mainly due to my choice of speakers :D LOL.
Listen to it and see - what music you into - it exeles for dance/rock - but is also good for things such as dido - he voice is amazingly put across!

If you wait till July next year you can have mine - as am going for a Naim Pre/Power combo and CD also with Naim speakers. :D :D as gonna have a dedicated listining room in my flat (me and mate moving in - 3 bedrooms :D) and gonna use my 604's as part of my HC in front room!

but for the money it is awe inspireing

Spankey_Monkey, have e-mailed you regarding the amp ;) :D

I listen to almost everything actually. Mostly dance/rap (I know, I'm sorry), but I throw in some easy listening too (Avril Lavigne, Matchbox 20, Zero 7, Maroon 5... etc etc)

P.S. That's a lovely setup you have there

I'm sure I'd posted here!

All the hifi kit was bought when I was just 16 (TV,DVD&VCR came later) after a serious hard summers work & 4 weekends worth of testing! That's over 4 years ago now! It's lasted well - only now am I getting the upgrade itch (looking at getting a poweramp - Arcam Alpha 8p, and maybe upgrading the speakers to 602S3s or waiting for the S4s or using the vintage B&Ws I have in the spare room!)

Anyway:

Hi-Fi:
CD Player: Arcam Alpha 7SE
Amplifier: Arcam Alpha 8r
Minidisc: Sony MDS-JE330
Tuner: Nad 402
Speakers: B&W 602
Stands: Castle Stands

AV:
TV: Sony 21"
DVD: Wharfedale DVD-750s
Video: Mitsubishi E-30

Cables:
CD - Amp: Transparent "The Link 200"
MD - Amp: Cambridge Audio Pacific
TV - DVD: QED scart i think
Speaker Cable: Supra mini 1.6 (have Nordost Super Flatline Gold Mk2 but its 50cm too short for my right channel :( - it'll have to keep till I move out or ditch my desk ;) )

And for when I get bored:
Ps2, XBOX, PC & N64 (gotta get a snes!!)

Overall I'm happy with the sound, I've found recently that it has become a bit bright, which i think is just due to the fact that the cables are a mess behind it. Looks like I've found something to occupy me over Christmas!

The only bits im unhappy with are the VCR (free) and DVD player. The Wharfedale DVD-750s was raved about when it came out. i got one for a bargain price a few months later, and I was disapointed. Looks like ill be giving it away and upgrading soon :)
Also thinking of getting a yamaha DSP-E800 surround processor before summer and some nice speakers :)

Power amp first though :D
