Post your mobile phone desktop!

I want to get some of these nice looking desktops on my San francisco. I bought 'beatiful widgets' which is decent but I'd like the actual icons of my phone to be skinned aswell.

Is it possible to do this?

Gingerbread on my HD2. Very simple, but effective for my needs :)

If you can, wait for Galaxy S II or HTC EVO 3D. ;)

Just out of interest, what prompts you to change from IOS to Android?

do you know when either of those are coming out?

well android is waaay cheaper, has better features, more customisability, more choice (in design etc) and there are a couple more points but i cant remember just now.

SGS II is rumoured to be out sometime this month.

im upgrading to android soon :)

Galaxy S or Desire HD?

Good call!

If you have to have one today, DHD has better build quality, isn't plasticy, and feels nice and solid. Has a bit of a feeble speaker. SGS is plasticy but has a better screen, and I don't recall how its speaker compared.

my contract ends in june so i think that rules out the evo 3d, i would quite like to get the sgs2 but only if it becomes available before my contract runs out.

Some of these look top notch. I've got a HTC Desire HD, how can I 'pimp' mine up? Anyone got any starting websites?

Also I see peeps using Gingerbread? How can I get involved in that..?

As you have the DHD take a look over on XDA in the Desire HD area - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=754

Im running CyanogenMod-7 on my DHD which is Android Gingerbread 2.3, here is a link to it - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957336

Others may recommend other roms, if you still want to keep the HTC Sense there are Gingerbread rom's available with the new sense included, depends what you are after, there is lots of choice :)

If you want to go Android now then the Nexus S is the best out of the box easily, however you will have to think if:

A) Not having a microSD slot is a big deal to you
B) If lack of 720P video recording is a big deal to you (although it wouldn't surprise me if somebody manages to enable this in an app or rom)

I have no idea why they left 720P out when the camera is definitely capable. It's pretty good for taking photos, very good in low light situations.
