My HTC Hero, just rooted and Cyanogen mod 7 put on, actually really nice to use now! a bit sluggish still but overall an improvement! just need a decent weather widget!

rob, you can remove shortcuts/widgets from the homescreen by long pressing them and then dropping them in the bin that appears at the bottom (I'm guessing you don't know since you have 2 of the same widget and still have the horrible hubs there

)

If you pinch a homescreen it will zoom out and let you add/delete whole pages

.

yeah screen resolution on my phone is kind of pants tbh, but it'll do the job until my contract lets me have a nice HTC upgrade hopefully lol
