Have a separate page for news widgets (Huff, Beeb, CNN, Flipboard) and regularly used apps in related folders on swiping app drawer. Desktops provided by Picspeed Wallpapers, excellent choice and quality.

Nova Launcher, hide notification bar, infinite scroll on app drawer. Picspeed Wallpapers (press the heart on your favourites to d/l full size to phone and allow scroll)
It's a very lazy layout, but clean, simple and different.
