I was so scared of dropping the monitor whilst trying to screw it on to the mounting bracket, but it's all done now. :cool:

Funnily enough, I've got a 980 Ti now!

To be fair though I felt the 970 coped fairly considering. But the Ti is definitely quicker. It runs all the games I want to run anyway fairly well (as in i'm getting 60-90 fps), but then I don't really have anything much newer than 2 years old in my collection anyway (newest game is probably Doom/GTAV/Dirt Rally/FC4).
 
The place that has it for sale at 599 in case anyone has noticed, it says X34P in the title and also X34A under the red racing car about a third of the way down the screen, I've just chatted with them and they confirmed it is the X34P for sale.

Did any of you put an order in?

I have to assume it was an error rather than a limited-time deal but I'd have tried it for that price.


Edit: Ok, never mind. I'm all caught up after reading on HotUKdeals and the posts in the Alienware monitor thread. Everybody keeps posting about the X34P in there!

They sold out before I could order one, went to grab the wallet and was too late, damn oh well hopefully they will have the same deal on again at some point.

They are not getting more, marked as discontinued on their system.
