Comment on road.cc saying loads of riders were outside the cut off time... Presumably too many and too high profile to cut, though.

Great to see Dan Martin up there, and Rodriguez as well. He's still got it - hope he can hold it, I like him.

I see there is video footage of Froome punching a spectator who is running along with the head group on the final climb in the face. I wonder if he will get into trouble for that.
 
Didn't see that one coming. Rewriting the script. Everyone else were the ones following it this time! Great for Yates too!

Quite frank comments from Brailsford about them expected to do the work even without the yellow jersey. Got a point though.

I highly doubt it.

They are just protecting themselves. What a cracking descent by Froome. Great to see him attack like that.
 
The Cav group came in at 39'40", the time cut off would have been 44'40" so they're fine anyway.

At least now nobody can accuse Froome of making races boring :D Froome got a 200 Franc fine for the chicken incident. Fair enough.
 
Froome gave the middle finger to all those that thought he was useless at decending. I doubt GC contenders are sniggering now.

Although they will come up with some excuse maybe he had a gyroscope in the top tube....

It's true, but when it all goes wrong for the GB team (remind me how many hilly one day races they've won...) a Plan B will be needed.

Amazing win for Froome yesterday, credit to him for that. Showed some serious balls and panache.
 
Great days racing and a real surprise to see froome attack on the decent when they all got the summit together I assumed we would see them all together at the end of the stage! Not exactly a big lead for Froome but it is a start I felt a bit sorry for Yates missing out on yellow after yesterday's mess but it will clearly come for home one day.

That spectator got what he deserved some of the idiots show no respect for the riders at all and seem much more interested in their own moment on camera!

It is clear that Steve Cummings isn't in the Olympic squad because he is not a team player can you see him pulling a shift for someone else? Great ride the other day and he is clearly in the form of his life but the Olympic teams are small so including a rogue solo specialist would be a gamble and a plan b that negatively effects plan a isn't really a plan!
 
Cummings not a team player because he's not working for Cav? Do you know for sure he's going against team orders? Looks like he's doing exactly what he's meant to be doing in his team role - winning stages
