Pro Cycling Discussion 2016

Renshaw retired yesterday. How many more sprint finishes have we got left? Does Cav need him that much anyway given how adept he is at just picking wheels?

Edit: Probably three sprints left.

I'll spoiler it still.

Shame to see Sagan outnumbered, but don't think he helped himself much by pushing the front for the majority, should have sat back a bit more and conserved himself.

But the OBE boys really had the upperhand, fantastic from them, great win for Matthews.

Was it me or was that a really dull stage. Sagan back to his usual tricks of doing too much work! Thought he'd got out of that, but maybe he's still trying to push his price up in contract negotiations!

Contador out of the Olympics too due to his injuries! Vuelta it is then!

Crazy finish to the day Froome seems to have decided that this year is is just going to attack at almost any opportunity once those four were up the road nobody was catching them great work from Thomas to get on terms with them.

Interesting to see what happens over the net couple of days Froome should gain time on tomorrows TT and then we have the big one which surely Quintana must be targeting if he is serious about winning the race.

The last kilometre:

Reports coming in of a change to the finish at the top of Mont Ventoux tomorrow as very high crosswinds are expected. We may see the difficult stage neutralised.

If vonteux gets neutralised then Quintana is basically shafted, as it looks for all the world like his plan was to muller Froome up there.

Ventoux mountain top finish has been cancelled :

From the tour:

Stage 12 is shorten due to weather conditions at the top of Mont Ventoux, the finish will be at Chalet Reynard ⚠

EDIT: The climb is still there but the last 6 kilometres are cancelled.
