Project Cars 2 is en route :D

My only gripe with the game is that I am utterly terrible :p I cannot drive for toffee. I can't seem to match my wheel inputs to the game, I'm generally either not turning the wheel fast enough, or not giving enough lock and running wide. The wheel seems to be perfectly matched with the 3D wheel in the cockpit, so this is hopefully something I just need to get used to - think I need to be less timid with it. I guess it doesn't help that it's got a steep learning curve, and I haven't used a racing wheel for years.

Think I'm gonna spend a while longer in the private test mode just to get a feel for the game. I did try a couple of quick races, but was hopeless.
Still - the game is excellent so far :)
I'd advise not using the private test mode but making a quick race with 1 opponent and following them, watching where they brake and turn in. That may be more useful. Keep the skill level low so they don't leave you in the dust.

Has anyone with an AMD graphics card played before and after installing 17.9.2 and noticed a significant improvement in pCARS2?

Performance is really good here seems to play well on these drivers with vega 56. Been playing at 4k with pretty much everything cranked up :)

Anybody tried to clean lap the ring in the mx5 Radbull? Man that car has no feel but is awesome fun! 7 mins 30 ish fighting it all the way :)

Think I might go for some ring in the snow today... There is an achievement for going quicker than 8 mins in the snow but I am not sure what car is capable of it to be honest, am thinking a rally car of some description but I am not sure how possible it is given the massive deficit at the top end.

That might not be the best idea, the AI use a different tyre model and carry Speed in places where your might find it impossible to do the same. Use time trial then you don't have to wait for tyres to warm up,

This game/sim is solid. Multiplayer needs some work though..

The performance, graphics and attention to detail are outstanding.

Not having any trouble with joypad. Reduced steering sensitivity to 30 and brake and throttle sensitivity both to zero.

I'm in VR had some frame drops, almost mini freezes racing online last night then realised I'd been testing my SS at 1.6 and forgot to dial it back. Seemed better back at 1.5...I really need to get a 1080ti.

So i calibrated my G29 in the settings and i am either that rubbish at this game or the handling is ropey as hell :( my dads Austin maxi had better control.

It's been the same for my G29 too , so I will try to reset it again later today and if that dont work, I might just dump the game as I'm not that impressed by it at all to be honest , but I'll give it a chance .

Anyone with a Vive used it in PC1 and PC2? Any noticeable improvements? I always found the viewing distance an issue with PC1, as I do with most driving games, given I am always trying to scan the track ahead but simply can't due to the display limitations.

Trying career mode. The mini Forumla 1 car things, starting at Knockhill.
Getting frustrated. No matter how careful I am, the first corner always catches me out and I spin. Better since I started sitting differently - leaning back from the wheel so my arms aren't so bunched up. But I am still hopeless.

Good thing the steering wheel is attached to the desk or I would have put it through the window by now ¬_¬

Time for a cup of tea and I'll try again.
