Project Cars 2 is en route :D

Sticky cars are gone, there's more lateral grip...the AI use lights when it starts raining...are there any other little issues from PC1 that you want to know about specifically? I've only just started playing PC2 recently but happy to test things out and report back...I can't do vids without getting them approved again sorry...SMS were worried about too much being released at once so have decided to slow it back down.

Are you using a wheel and pedals, if so what's your setup and hows the wheel setting up, FFB, etc.. It took me AGES to get my T500RS to feel remotely decent and was a nightmare setting everything up.

One a second note, i'm toying with the idea of splashing some cash on either an Oculus Rift or the Fanatec ClubSport v3 pedals (with the plan to eventually selling my thrustmaster setup). The weakest part of my racing is pedal feel, hence me looking at the pedals.

What would I notice the difference with the most?

I race on a 4K TV

I have the T500RS, and I have the Rift...honestly I have the same problem with pedal feel, but until there are proper feedback pedals it's just a matter of using rubber bungs behind the pedal until you like it...

Are your setup problems in the PCars2? Out of the box I think the FFB in the second game is much better, there are some basic setup options, but if you want to tweak it all the detail settings are there too...there really isn't any need other than personal taste. I found some settings for the first game that were awesome especially with Jack Spade's tweaker files...it's a shame the complex physics were lost due to the numb ffb feel.

Having bought the rift, I'd have to say I'd live with the pedals because VR is made for racing games, with a good amount of supersampling the resolution isn't so bad, but it's not HD. Once you feel the immersion you quickly forgive that though. If it was my money knowing what I do, I'd get the Rift.

Yeah rift first then pedals driving in the rift with a wheel is incredible. What pedals do you have? I had the thrustmaster T3PA pedals then upgraded to the fanatic csl elites with load cell brake and its a massive upgrade especially with the feel of the brake.

I haven't played PC2 yet, would like to!

The lack of feel and FFB was with PC1.

Although the Jack Spades tweaker files helped, I still struggled with my wheel and pedals (full T500RS setup inc. pedals). Either the car would understeer horribly in corners (even though I was going slower into the corners than the people I was racing against) in addition to the brakes being either on/off with no in between feel.

I'd break as late as the other guys and just end up sailing off into the gravel or i'd lock and sail into the back of them. Or i'd break so early they could drive clean past me. Tried iRacing and it just didn't appeal to me. AC for me had much better feel with brakes and FFB and I found myself being a lot more confident in braking later but since my buddies all play PC1 I ended up sticking with that.

Thanks for all the comments regarding what to get.

Man maths has prevailed so i'm going to order both.

Rift arrived, wow... Amazing being able to look over and see the actual wheel, brakes, rose joints of open wheel cars, etc! Only downside is the resolution but will see if the Debugtool tweak helps with that.

Pedals should arrive tomorrow :D

I might just have a crack no see how I get on...I'm not the biggest fan of downfarce and can't set up a car to save my life though...

With the work SMS have been doing with McLaren on Project Cars2 I fully expect there will be a qualifying round with the new game...
