If half the things I'm hearing about the next egg box is true I won't be getting one. I hope Sony don't follow suit or I will be skipping the next gen. Personally if all what we hear is true I wouldn't be surprised if we see the downfall of the home console, unless apple or somebody sees that people aren't happy with ms and Sony and take advantage of it.

Same here. I just can't see it happening, but it will be crap if it does.

My biggest concern with the new generation is that they'll mess around with the controllers and put stupid things on just to be different. Those pictures of the controller with no sticks is terrible, if it's not broke don't fix it!

As for backward compatibility I really don't care, I want a next gen console and couldn't care less about playing previous titles on it, having an extra console under the TV is not a problem.
