By the looks of it though, the DualShock 4 is more ergonomic and looks like the shape of the 360 pad. Unless you mean the difference in stick layout?
I guess we need to understand what it always on internet actually means before jumping to conclusions. It could work like Steam which after a while came more flexible for offline gaming, or it could just be as bad as the dreaded Ubisoft uPlay system.
I guess theres near-zero chance (cant see how MS would even think about this without that assurance) the authentication servers will gone down under demand like EA/Ubis has in the past, so with that assumption it does seem the biggest issue is on our end with our own internet connections (and thats not even considering speed, just quality of connection).
Really hard not to feel that its just another way to double-pay for just wanting to play games online, lets hope its not triple-pay with chargeable XBL, though surely the requirement to be 'always on' means they cant do that surely?!? That would be a real slap in the face...
Can MS really still expect to charge for a similar service as XBL Gold for the nextbox? Actually perhaps the question should be, would you pay again for access to online console gaming if it was such a similar offering? Never really entered my head that that answer could still be 'yes' tbqh![]()
Good news for those looking forward to Sony's next console: it looks like you won't have to wait until E3 for the next big PlayStation 4 presentation. Rumour has it, courtesy of PCMag, that Sony intend to make a 'big announcement' concerning the PlayStation 4 this April/May:
"GDC was probably the last big stage for the company to talk up the successor to the PlayStation 3 before the E3 gaming conference in June, unless Sony manufactures its own event. That's precisely what Sony plans to do, according to the source, who said late April/early May will be the likeliest timeframe for a full-blown launch of the PS4."
Developers close to Microsoft have claimed the next-gen console’s hardware is currently being tweaked, as hardware boffins work to “align” the new home machine with the power offered by Sony’s recently revealed PlayStation4.
Speaking to Eurogamer, Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat said the new home Xbox will be “aligned with what Sony announced” in terms of hardware power, also adding: “It’s going to be connected. It’s going to be social. It’s going to be immersive. It’s going to be interactive.”
Meanwhile, Kotaku, the US aggregator of anything games related or from or even near Japan, says its sources claim the next-generation Xbox controller is virtually unchanged from the Xbox 360 device, perhaps only offering refined curves and a slightly smaller footprint. No sign of any second screen or touchpad on this one.
I just can't wait for the official reveal about the next Xbox.

This. Although tempting to read 30 pages of comments on various rumours of the next xbox better to wait to see what Microsoft officially say. Not "A microsoft insider has said...." etc.
Also, I'd be so much more in favour of a ps4 if someone gets out some xbox controller adapters for it smart (inb4 people tell me its a more comfortable controller even though I have both.)
I just can't wait for the official reveal about the next Xbox.
You haven't even used a PS4 controller yet, at least give it a chance before writing it off.
Who are these people with spastic hands, ive played pretty much every console and never had trouble with the controller.

I never get the dislike for the 360 D pad. In 7 years I've never felt the need to use it apart from games like gears where it used to be used for changing weapons. It's only ever select up down left or right and works 100%.
Who cares about D pads anymore?
