PS4 and Xbox Rumours

How can people discount MS when we know NOTHING!!

Also you talk about casual games v hardcore games please explain this as I'm having difficulty with it. Please tell me why and what makes you think this? What makes you think Sony are going to appease your requirements? For the most part each console will have the same bloody games.

I'm more or less decided on a PS4. I'm not sold on this glass, home entertainment hub that requires subscription upon subscription for gold and other services by MS. I just wanna play games.

I have a 360 and passed on the PS3.

Pretty much the same as me. As I mentioned earlier in this thread even if MS do play the core gamer card its a short term tactic to get to where they want to be (casual games, kinect and entertainment services) rather than actually having any invested interest in it long term.

What on earth?!

Xbox live is the better of the 2 online gaming services.

Xbox 360 has the same amount of core gamer games as the PS3.

What they do have beyond the PS3, is an excellent casual games system in the form of Kinect.

I think people are confusing themselves. Microsoft have just a strong core gamer base as Sony. The difference being that they also have a very strong casual game base as well. Also don't forget that the dashboard has more developed media/home entertainment hub features than the XMB. None of these detract from the gaming experience, so completely baffled how anyone can use them as negatives.

I also can't believe that 7 years on (or whatever it is), we're still using the £40 live sub as a massive issue. Yes it's annoying, but Xbox live does work better and gold essentially now provides perks much like PS Plus does.

Dunno if this is true. Should be interesting if there is any truth to it...

* There is now a full 12 gigabytes of high-speed RAM in the new Xbox Now! console, unlike the previous rumors of only 8gb.
* To be precise, there is 4gb GDDR5 on the GPU and 8gb GDDR5 on the 8-Core IBM custom CPU.
* The GPU is the first GCN 2.0 GPU produced and was designed by special team of MS+IBM+AMD.
* Eric from IBM will be a speaker on the 21st. with more info like the fact the GPU specs. are a mindblogging 4.9 TFlops.

Wonder if the delay was shoving that extra 4GB of RAM in. Not like MS to be bested by Sony when it comes to hardware.

morei think about it the less im believe it, why would you call a console "Now" it wouldnt suprise me if that was a name of a new feature MS has for streaming games or something and they misheard it. Its an odd name for a console

Now is the future.. and all that jazz if they name it as such, I hope the spec rumours are true at least as that was swaying me to the PS4 camp, to match the spec sheet if true they need some epic exclusives to make extra use of all the fire power.

if it is true though what do you think of the name "Xbox Now" ? sounds a little naff to me, althought better than 720 or Durango

Still Better than the VIta, and I've had one of those since launch day. Still get get over what a rubbish name it has:p

I'll probably get a PS4 but still not 100% just yet...

Xbox Now could tie in with the fact that you can start playing games as soon as you switch it on - same as PS4 is doing with suspend-to-RAM for instant resumption of content. And no waiting for games to install, they'll do it in the background as you play initially from BD.
