Quest 3 owners etc

For the peeps who went from Quest 2 to Quest 3, How's the image quality improvement ?
For me it's like night and day
On the Quest 2 I found reading the text was quite blurry, I could never find the sweet spot.
On the Quest 3 it's just perfectly in focus everytime , no adjusting the headset to try and find a sweet spot...far more definition and well worth the upgrade for me

Pretty big, you can move your eyes without moving your head to look at things and it's in focus. I know resolution and field of view are improved, but it's the pancake lens effect that you really really notice.

That and the controllers not clashing in to each other because of the rings.

the lens is a game changer - i came from an index and i was constantly trying to get the sweet spot through the index lenses - with the quest 3 you just put it on your head and there is no faffing about looking for the best sweet spot.

As a PSVR2 owner who's recently bought a Quest 3, the first thing I noticed was how much better the Quest is for staying in focus. With VR2, I'm constantly adjusting the headset, re-calibrating etc because it never feels like it's in focus. With Q3, I just plonk the headset on and that's it. No faff.

The Quest 3 lenses are the best I've seen and that includes a £2k Varjo, there is no sweet spot because the whole view is a sweet spot!

Well you've all talked me into a Quest 3 then, 1 thing I loved doing is watching a film with various family members in different countries where we could look over at eachother and chat during the film, With the Quest 2 it was ok but the sweetspot and clarity still left something to be desired. Will be ordering in a few weeks :)

I was going to suggest ordering from Very for the 20% discount but have just noticed your location! The Quest 3 is a good step up over the Quest 2 in visuals, the resolution isn't majorly better but the clarity is better with it being clear all over the field of view, plus next to no god rays. The passthrough is far and away better than the Q2's with it being colour, higher res, and having a depth sensor but it's not as clear as in the videos you see of it so best not to expect too much and then be pleasantly surprised, it's perfectly usable imo. Sound output is louder. I've not watched any films on mine but have watched a fair bit of TV and Netflix and it's great for that imo.

I believe Very will actually ship to Coruscant. The local postal depot is a bit dodgy though.

Before I bite the bullet on a Q3, how are these with PCVR?
I’d probably be using a cable and have the Kiwi ceiling pulleys so it’s not really noticeable, or will it be as good using it untethered via virtual desktop or whatever?
I’d be upgrading from a Rift S & Quest 2.
