God damn I hate people who charge at the corners like a space will magically appear. So frustrating to be taking a corner well only for some idiot to ram your up the backside. Ditto for idiots trying to overtake you but failing, then just bumping you off the road instead.

Yes, I've just rage quit from an LFS server.

You should try playing GRID. You're lucky if you can get to the first corner unscathed! If you do, you'll probably win, as the carnage behind is often complete.

I felt the same but it's worth it when you have the quality stuff. CTDP, FSONE, MMG and other plugins etc

I've kind of enjoyed iRacing so far. I had a couple of races last night in the MX5 on the Lime Rock track. I've finally got the hang of it but have spun out a couple of times in both races. I managed to finish a couple of laps down though, and not last, YAY!

I'm just about keeping up with most people, but obviously spinning off the track doesn't help things.

I don't like having to go on at certain times to race though. That's one thing I like about Live for Speed, you just join a server and keep on racing.

Well you can do that too in Iracing, Qualify then Race, then Qualify or practice, then race again, its almost none stop, but i know how you feel, it annoyed me to start with but after a long 20 lap race sometimes the break is needed :)
 
Yeah fair enough.

That rFactor video up top is amazing! One thing that put me off about rFactor is that there are lots of different mods, and it just seems like a hard thing to get into if you don't know what you're looking for. What are some of the better mods for a bit of a noob? I'm not particularly consistent in driving games, so unforgiving vehicles are not good for me.

I used to play LFS, but looking for something new. iRacing is cool so far but keen to see what rFactor is like, just don't want to buy it and feel lost.
 
once you get away from rookie class in iracing its gets a lot better.I'm so glad to be away from the mx5/limerock punchup. Found racing the skippy to be very very clean and people seem to move out the way if theres a problem(none of this spin/jump straight back on the racing line stuff)
 
Well, I went on iRacings live chat support, and before I'd even finished the second part of my question, she had changed my name! It literally took her 30 seconds. I asked to have my full first name (hoping to avoid any duplicate account issues). So instead of Nick Benson2, I am now Nicholas Benson :)

Feel free to add me people. Although to warn you, I am crap. My rating is down to 2.22, every session I have I go off the track :(
 
Not quite sure, but it has you on my friends list and i can see you online/in a race in the bottom tab where it tells you how many people are online/my racers(friends).
