Hi there

As is well known memory prices have being consistently increase the past few months and continue to do so, however as always OcUK enjoys bucking the trend and we have some totally amazing pricing on DDR4 DRAM that undercuts our competitors. Even better all our DRAM deals are using the very high-end TeamGroup memory which uses very good IC so those who enjoy overclocking can also get some nice overclocking results.

Keep an eye on our weekly offers tomorrow as we shall be adding more memory lines to our weekly offers, the current offers above are on our Black Friday section and will end 2nd December.

The only reason we can do this on TeamGroup / 8 Pack memory in particular is because I order around 5000 kits every month, as such I have a lot of inventory from last month which I have allocated to online sales, once these are gone pricing will have to increase as many of these offers are actually below our re-buy cost as our re-buy on all brands increases every week unfortunately.

So be sure to grab a memory kit, its hard to say the pricing is good, months ago it was far cheaper, but in the current climate these prices are the best in the UK and OcUK has the largest selection of memory online.

Don't ask for other brands, we have put everything we can on offer by This Week Only tomorrow, a quick shop around will see this is very good pricing in the current DRAM climate. :)

Yeah I'm putting on hold my upgrade after looking at the cost of a coffee lake upgrade (Ram, CPU, Mobo and HD) from my 4770k current platform. I think I will wait until next year when the z390 boards start appearing, hopefully someone will have rained in the memory market by then as these prices are bang out of order imo.

Note: Gibbo no dig at you, I'm just mad at the market. I wonder if there is a cartel going on like there seems to be one on HD's these days.

To be honest guys I found an old invoice from 2008 4GB of G-Skill I paid 69 quid.

Relative terms if I purchased that four times now to make the 16GB I just bought I'd pay 276 quid?

So I don't really have too much issue with RAM pricing personally.

Well you overpaid for it back then as you would be now.

No "daily" nightmares yet about what pricing manufacturers have when checking it in next day? :p

It's pretty much cartel when all DRAM chip manufacturers are happy to keep production volumes inadequate.

You know what if that's the case then I wont upgrade next year than, its a like not a must after all.

My cash is limited and I have many things that I can spend it on, Gibbo if you have line up to these folks tell that they are fast ******* off punters with this crap. £5 bet the Chinese will come in at some point soon and crap all over them if they dont watch.

I'm kind of fuming at this EsaT.

RAM pricing is stupid considering a R5 1600 can be had right now for £155 and earlier for even less yet to get the most out of it you'll need 2x8GB RAM which'll cost you at least £150 with decent speeds, I find it very hard to believe RAM costs more to produce than Ryzen. Manufactures keep complaining about the drop in adoption for PC's but when memory pricing is that nutty why would anyone other than the enthusiast buy a new rig, it reminds me of the time HDD prices were at an all time high. I'm hoping that these manufactures get stung for price fixing like they did in the past, keeping production down so you can blame low stock is ludicrous.

Why would you want to buy that when the 8 Pack 3200MHz 2*8G kit is not only cheaper but far superior in every way.
Our 8 Pack RAM out performs Dominator series, in fact the only memory which rivals our 8 Pack memory is G.Skill.

8 Pack and G.Skill memory are in another league quality, IC and performance wise, even more so if you intend on overclocking. :)

Yeah I wouldn't consider Corsair anymore, as Gibbo says they're out performed by other manufacturers now.

B-Die is rare as anything in Corsair dimms....

I bought some 4266Mhz ram from OCUK and really pleased with it, works no issues with my board on the latest bios.

Thank you, nothing out performs B die, and only 8 Pack series memory guarantee's that IC. :)

@3t3P I believe b-Die is just what Samsung refers to their 8Gb dimms and e-die their 4Gb dimms.

b-die has nothing to do with grading performance of a dimm. It’s simply what Samsung have named it, and as Samsung make the best memory, people want b-die I.e Samsung memory.

Manufacturers like Corsair g.skill etc do not make their own memory. It’s the same principle with things like power supplies, monitor panels etc. There are only a few manufacturers of the core parts and vendors buy them and produce their products.

With memory you have the likes of mircon, hynix and Samsung. The advantage of brands like g.skill and team group is that they predominantly use Samsung. Corsair rarely do unfortunately.

You can normally tell just by looking at the timings in most cases. The high frequency Corsair ram for example has much looser timings compared to other ram. G.skill has tight timings but I noticed some of the 8 pack ram is insane in terms of frequency and timings.

I wouldn’t mind if it was cheaper but sometimes Corsair ram is more expensive lol. You pay for the brand I guess....
